Didn't think I needed red text. You guys were arguing about who had the bigger enviro-penis, all while still using the store's bags. You don't see the irony?

A more ecologically friendly penis would be smaller so it uses less energy, right? So call me un-eco friendly.

And I think walking to work offsets the handful of paper bags I use per month, which I then use for other things (instead of plastic trash bags when I can).

I don't see any Prius driving vegans here making that argument, but I do see you doing it. If I ever meet any I'll be sure to let them know they're wrong too.

1. Is that based on data, and if so I'd be curious to see it.
2. No dolphins will choke on the reusable bag, whereas the plastic ones will end up augmenting the great pacific garbage patch or some other place.

Can't take a joke, eh?

Like I said in my post, I recycle whenever possible... but I'm not going to go out of my way to "go green". Hard to believe you were the one who posted up the video.

Thought it was funny. Though the conservative republicans in the room seemed to feel attacked and did not find it funny at all. I don't know what people have against trying to save the earth by not using styrofoam. We know it stay around for a ridiculous amount of time and there are other alternatives. I was a little bothered how some people got upset about this commercial. It was just raising a little environmental awareness and promoting a fuel efficient vehicle.

Same here!

BTW, is your moniker inspired by Rogue Breweries? One of my Favorite beers!

Yeah same here... I had to look up the lyrics to the song to make sure I hum it correctly.

Not Rogue, Stone. Although I like both breweries.

In my mind it goes something like:
The dream police, something something my head
the dream police, something something my bed

and repeats over and over again.

I like the ad because they are poking some good fun at the "Eco-at-all-costs" crowd. That is what makes it funny.

And as far as the environment goes, it's funny to see the "greenies" putting themselves in a forest to protect a tree for the ecological benefit, but they drove a 72 Mercedes 300D to get there.

And the Prius battery is far worse for the planet than the slight rise in emissions from a new vehicle.

Um, mostly because I don't believe the earth needs to be saved from styrofoam. The earth is doing just fine....

Here is the new Audi ad which I believe was released during the opening of the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver.

<object style="height: 344px; width: 425px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/UGvhWPtSVbk"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/UGvhWPtSVbk" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="425" height="344"></object>

Hopefully this one isn't as controversial as the "Green Police" ad. Although the green police was damn funny.

Audi knows how to market themselves as the "up-and-comer" in the luxury segment...
