Yes, and it cost less to begin with. I was comparing percentage loss versus actual dollar amount. That is the only fair comparison.

Its not going to be a dime under $45k (maybe $44,900 base), add one or two options/packages...you'll hit $50k easily.

Not sure about high and low beams, but BMW was one of the first to have Xenons in the U.S. (they only came on the 750il).

I recall GM having the HIDs first in the USA on the Envoy.
