2 day old EVO CRASHED!

DON'T ASK TO BUY PARTS FROM ME, I'LL POST THE INSURANCE AND SALVAGE YARD INFO WHEN I KNOW IT (7-10 DAYS)
She was going to work down a rural farm road, hit some ruts and the car pulled left, she over corrected right and started to fish tail, went off the road sideways and rolled 1 1/2 times stopping on the roof. Shes ok, only scratches from crawling out. The glass didn't even break. I'll find out in a couple days if it's totaled. IT'S TOTALED Very sad day. I'll have some depressing pics tomorrow.

I feel bad for the guy and his wife.

Sorry to see, glad no one was hurt. Guess they'll have to get on the bottom of a wait list for a replacement.

A car is only capable as the person behind the wheel.

I would think that it is possible to sue the city, county or state for not maintaining the road, creating a dangerous road hazard, and causing her to wreck. I hate it when I hit a rut in the road and the car jerks to one side all of a sudden. Ruts like that have caught me by surprise at night, and it scares the freaking hell out of me...

People like this really PISS me off. They wanna SUE for every little freaking thing and not take the blame for anything.

Stop driving like an asshole and pay attention to the road. "Driving is a privilage not a right."

Last I heard, it wasn't the gubmint's responsibility for a person being a goddamn donkey.

Man.. the more I see that car the more ugly I think it is....

Anyway, sucks for them.... I doubt they'd be able to sue... it's her fault for overcorrecting. All streets have ruts and imperfections in them.... the key is you should know how to drive, what speeds are safe, etc.

At least she's OK... looks like the car held up pretty well.

I don't think I like the looks of them either... I would rather take a Gen VI.

True.

But as a driver you are accountable/responsibile for driving the speed limit.

I agree. That car looks so cheap. Especially the interior shots in page 4 (even though it's totaled).

I would NEVER spend 30k for that car - A cheap econo-box with ugly altezza's..

The STi on the other hand

Sort of similar story:

Last summer, a friend of the family just got a 03 TLS.

She let her idiot 18 year old son drive it around the block. Well, he blew a stop sign and T-boned a Suburban. Car was totaled with approx 15 miles on the odometer.

If that was my son, he'd be out of the house after that!!!

My fav was the evo IV...

The aesthetics on the Evo seems to be on a bell curve. Evo I, II, III was blah. Evo IV and V were Evo VI was ok Evo VII and VIII...well it looks like they are going back to the original Evo designs.

Something w/ this much performance should have an aggressive look...and shouldn't look like a family sedan. I would NOT buy the VIII

Agreed, but when I sat in the new WRX at the car show, it seemed to be an improvement over the current WRX (sunroof, better feeling materials, etc.)

I didn't get to sit in the Evo, but the Lancer is plain cheap inside

Back when the last generation of the Supra Turbo was new (1994-1995 or so) there was an accident nearby I read about in the local newspaper that happened on a TEST DRIVE.
The car wrecked at 100MPH plus and both the customer & sales guy were killed.

Talk about OUCH !!!!
I bet both Lawyers had a field day tossing blame with THAT one.
