the new rs6 and a8 are sick. the A8 beats the 7 and S in the design category by a mile!

i would also get the C55 bc S4 isnt distinguishable enough and the M3 is played out

bimmer always had my heart...but the new design arent doing it for me.

old gen M5, current M3 (E46), and the 760, oh and M6 only if they do make a stickshift for it.

 

M3, M5 and S55 I know I picked BMW, BMW & MB but, I havent been able to stomach the 7-series styling since the E32 transitioned to the E38.

Sticking to the original post though, I'd have to go with BMW overall.

im suprised some of you would take a 760 over a S8 or S55, thats crazy. id take a damn A6 4.2 over a 760

 

If the LS430 had 350hp+, I'd go with that over the 760, S8 and S55. It still may not be as quick/fast but it'll be built like a tank nonetheless.

 

I voted Mercedes even though I own a bimmer.

I think BMW cars are more for the track while benz makes straight line performers. Having said that, I'd take the S600 over a 760 and the 760 over the A8.

Fun factor wise, I'd take the M3 or M5 over almost any auto benz.

dude, change s6 to rs6 (s6 only came in the wagon style). Change the s8 to a8 w12 because s8 are no longer in production. Anyways, the new 7 series is pretty hot though. They finally changed the rear appearance

Don't compare that to what BMW makes. You can buy a few M5s and still have cash left for that price. That's in the supercar category.

Plus, I would rather have a modded SL65 AMG with over 900 lb/ft of torque than that overpriced SLR.

 

the SLR aint even that good on GT4. pfff

 

And if I had the money for an SLR, I would spend it on another car in that price range. It just doesn't appeal to me for what else is out there.

 

I like BMW for their lower end series (3,5), seems like you get a lot for the money compared to the benz's. But if you got money and can spend 6 figures, the benz is the way to go.

If I had money for an SLR, I'd be looking at the purchase of some more real estate. No car is worth $452k to me.

 

I had to vote for Audi. If you would have asked this a couple years ago, I would have said BMW, hands down. But they're so frickin' ugly these days...I can't even consider them. Right now, I'm debating wether I'd get an S4 or an A6.

I probably would have chosen MB if you listed the SL55...now that is sex on wheels!

 

Jon, you will need to have this poll again once the RS4 gets here because at that point, IMO, the RS4, RS6, S8 lineup will ownz the competition!

I like the new designs of the A4/A6 lineups but the M3 and M5 are something special. I like the c55 and e55 but not the s55 for some reason. I could rock the 760 but rather rock an S8. I think this is a tough poll because my particular favorites would be RS4, M5/E55, A8

 

I really don't like the new models, which is why I chose Mercedes.

 

A8L is a real hot looking vehicle.
I dont like any BMW other than the current M3. Looks hot

 

I went with MB barely over BMW because of the 7-series. Audi really does nothing for me so they were knocked off quickly.

How I judged them:
C55 = M3 - I like the C55 look better but the M3 performs better
E55 = M5 - Toss up. Both are extremely good.
S55 > 760i - Sad, but the current 7-series can't compare to S-class IMO.

I did the same.
I agree on the C55 vs M3 even CTS-V if I was to buy one today I'd go with the C55 for a couple reasons I'm afraid with the new chasis(E90) The M3s will have some problems, and plus I think the C55 looks better. yes the m3 will smoke the C55 but if you put a nice set of rims on that AMG it's a traffic stopper .
now E55 vs M5. I like the M5 and design and numbers.the v-10 of the M5 and the supercharged v-8 of the E55 are similar on hp. however as far my taste in motors. I like torque. Torque is what gets you "rolling". Torque is what gets you"out of the hole." The M5 has a hell of a top end but in the E55 has a hell of a bottom end. so I'd go with the E55.
the S55 vs 760. this is the closest one of the 3. Only reason I went with the S55 is I hate Idrive and you HAVE to get it on the 7 series. it's a pain in the ass.

i'd go with m3, m5, and the s55 over the 760 cause of straight line performance

 

I'm fairly sure the C55 with 369hp V8 would not be "smoked" by the current M3 with it's 333hp inline-6.........

It seems the C55 is a tad quicker than the M3 SMG, with 0-60 in the upper 4s and 1/4 mile times in the low 13s, walking the M3 at the higher end. The C55 also hangs pretty even with the M3 in terms of handling as well.

That said, I'd still rather have the M3 between those two.

the C55 broke 5 sec. 0-60!? hot damn. the c55 still has no road appeal though. most ppl see it as the lowest line Benz you could get. (aside from the C coupe).
but then again, as for the competitor, most of the m3 drivers are blowout Gotti kids.
