if you guys get Speed Channel there's this show called "Bullrun" they got Street legal cars they go from checkpoint to checkpoint and then the slowest 2 cars (out of 12 they start with) has to go into a "driving challenge." then the fastest car also picks an additional one to go into the challange. The slowest 2 was a Mitsubushi Evo, Dodge Dart that was restored pretty nice, and Chevy Avalanche. The Evo went first he was doing good until the end when hit this cement thing. tore the fuck out of the front end of the Evo. popped the airbags(both driver and passenger).
the Dart is driven by father and son team. He was like juiced up after the challenge rolled it over.
The Avalanche came out no damage and fastest.

I don't know the dollars in damage but i'd say 7-10 grand easy. they were saying it was totalled but i don't think it was that bad.

 

Its on the DVR will be watching it on weekend... The group wanted to kick the EVO out last time around, but they did good in the Slalom and stayed on..

 

That evo did get jacked up, that whole front end had to be destroyed. The funny part was the car didn't even belong to the guy who was driving it for the challenge.

On the previous episode during the blindfolded-trust your navigator-through the obstacle course challenge I seriously wanted to slap the Ferrari bitch due to her high pitch voice that was melting my ears, I'm glad they got the boot early on in the season because I couldn't take much more of her whining. Also, the Avalanche navigator is a moron and I don't understand why the driver allowed them to not only get lost once, but TWICE!! Retards!!

 

Haven't been keeping up with the show but I finally started watching the episode where people got hassled by cops halfway in..... I didn't see what the Evo guys did but man were some people pissed. And the acted like total douchebags..... watching the rerun where the Evo got fucked up made me laugh. asshats deserved it!

I saw the show last season and lost interest in it, personally I love the teckademics gumball rally videos, they're much better.

 

i was thinking about this the other day, I think the Evo was way faster than the Dart in the challenge...think about it, its AWD, guy drove the shit out of it and only reason he got airborne and crashed was because he hit 60mph coming out of that turn!!!

when the dart went, he did take off REALLY nice, but that old guy ran slow as hell!! then he went even slower in all those turns b/c he had RWD.. NO WAY he was 2 seconds faster...just NO WAY!!


I think they had to BS to say the EVO lost b/c they knew they would not be able to fix it overnight, whereas the Dart didn't have much engine damage from "only" a rollover compared to destroying the engine, tranny, suspension, etc in the EVO. plus the 2 EVO guys were causing too much drama.

I would put money down that they were given a slower time b/c for many reasons described above, it was naturally their time to go. Think about it guys!!

 

I don't agree with the fact that they were booted because they were to much drama because drama creates good television (or at least more interesting television). However, I do agree with you on the fact due to the EVO being unfixable was a good reason to kick the EVO dudes to the curb. The Dart driver is such an idiot .

 

I tried watching the show a few times at night while in bed, but it seemed pretty stupid so I rolled over and just went to sleep..

 

team evo was cool....but got the boot....im rootin for team lexus now.

 

Saw an ad on Speed that BullRun2 is coming in Feb next year. Would be interesting to see what kind of cars signed up for it.
