Anyone using Volk Racing CE28N (10 Spoke) wheels and 13" Brembo Evolution Brake Kit
I'm considering the Volk Racing CE28N (10 Spoke) wheels using size:17x7.5, hole/P.C.D: 5/144.3. I'm not sure about the offset, but I'm guessing either +43 or possibly +50. These wheels are for my 2003 Acura CL Type-S 6 Speed. I want to install the 13" Brembo Evolution Brake Kit but need to verify that the Volk Racing wheel fitment is compatible with these brakes.
Does anyone have this combo installed or know someone who does? Also, which offset (+43 or +50) is correct for the 17x7.5 wheels? Please note, I'd rather stay with the 17" wheel size if possible.
thanks...
okay, okay... here's the picture

don't want to throw a wrench into your gearbox but Mackin guys don't know much about wheel clearance for Volks. i say this because of my personal experience with them, going back-n-forth for 4 months trying to get them to order "high-pad" version of the GT-P's but they still f-up my order. claiming it "should", it "will" clear and still didn't clear my Lotus calipers.
my advice is to go to a wheel shop that carries that particular rim in stock and take some measurements yourself. else you'll end up forking out money for h&r spacers. (i'm personally not too fond of spacers). you're considering joining a very, VERY small group of Honda/Acura owners who've invested time/money/headache into BBK's. reliable resources are few and far in between.

I appreciate the info. I kind of got that same impression when I spoke with them ... yeah, it should fit... So I sent them the BBK wheel fitment specs and they said they'll check with Volk Racing.
I think your suggestion is probably the best to find a shop who carries this wheel.
BTW, from what I understand, wheel spacers can cause excessive wheel bearing wear.

as far as damaging bearings from using spacers, i haven't heard of it happening but i wouldn't rule out its possibility. spacers, to me, just seem like an extra/unnecessary part that could go wrong in the equation.
