anyone know much about Nissan 240's??

I really wanted one too, but the F&F Tokyo Drift movie made me want to skip on the whole thing. It is a sick car, but there are so many idiots out there who weld their differentials so that their 240s can become permanent drift cars. Drifting is indeed fun but I'd rather tune it for actual handling.
No wonder you hate the S14... that list is like a nice selection of cars that I would really love to own or at least drive.... aside from that Volvo wagon.
But seriously. RB26 in your S14?!?!
And Miatas are weak. Great autoX car I would presume, but its looks wimpy. The new one looks like its motor has good power though, and I wouldn't turn down the opportunity to own the 3rd gen hardtop with the 2.0L MZR, pending a rubber abusing test drive first, of course.

Screw these new cars... I think I'm just going to buy a 76 Pinto and drop a 2.3L turbo motor out of a merkur into it

Or an e30, or s14, or a celica/corolla or an early 70's or 80's 911...
Hopefully we'll see a cheap 1 series here in the USDM soon

I had a 240 and the damn car was indestructable, I put 135000 miles on mine and had only only a single bad seal on the front of the motor. The car at last report has well over 150000 on the clock and is still running without any issues.

It's like looking for a cheap stock Datsun 510
That's one of the reasons why you have to search out those overlooked rwd cars...

i bought the three of my s13's for around $700-$900 a piece. two of them were about 4 years ago. the last one i bought i paid $700 for. the trick to a cheap one is automatic with the dookie brown interior. nobody wants them so they still seem to sell for cheap. my s14 was a zenki se with 62k miles. i bought it in 99 for $4600.

The only issue I ever had with the car was the clutch master cylinder went (cold weather has something to do with this from what I understand) and the brakes suck balls. A lot of people bolt on 300ZX calipers and trash the stock calipers. I spent well over $2k on getting the entire stock brake system overhauled when I should've swapped the 300ZX ones in. Other than those two problems the car was amazing and even the modded KA 2.4 was pretty fast.

Your best bet is to buy a good used S14 and then do the work on it yourself or get it done by someone you know will do a good job and will do it to your liking. That car in the ad seems to be overpriced and you dont know what kinda beating it has taken from the current owner.
This is what i am thinking of getting this summer
