I dont know a whole lot about these cars except they have tons upon tons of potential to be an amazing car. Very tune-able from the ones I have seen and with the right body kit, looks very clean and sporty! I would say go for it, but thats just me

they are nice cars, i'm not sure about $9000 though. i've picked up my last three stock 240's for less than $1000 a piece. 96 s14 base isn't worth all that much. the drivetrain looks pretty bullet proof though. please don't say that you want to start drifting.

that one's not worth $9000 for sure. you can get much better 240's for that price range. but $1000 240's are hard to come by now. demand increased the price range to $3000~up for decent ones.

I dont know where you are getting these 240sx but you will not find 96 for that cheap. I sold mine for $3300 AT and bit damaged here and there.

I used owned that model and believe me.. that isn't worth $9,000 to me. He dumped all the money on the engine only. That car is not even SE...which means that 4 lug, no lsd, and no sun roof. I bet you that you find a better car with better deal than that. Go to 240sx.org.. one of the biggest nissan forum out there. I used to go there a lot before I got my tsx.

I'm sick of people saying.. "oh, I'm going to drop a sr20 and its going to be hella fast." I really hate saying this too but you can find one in stock for $2-3k and drop a sr w/ mods probably can match whatever he is pushing or even faster.

He listed that he has Super HICAS LSD, but I thought that wasn't an LSD? Its supposed to be 4-wheel steering, right?

$9000 is a rip-off, and how the hell do you find a 240sx for $1000? Maybe a rolling S13 shell, but for an S14, no way.

Anyway, he was selling an 03 CBR600RR for $4500! holy crap! There's a pretty good deal...

I love the 240SX, infact i am contemplating the idea of importing an S15 Silvia from Japan this summer, one of my cousin in england imports JDM cars such as R33, R34s, Evos, Sti etc to England so i know i can get a good deal because he has been in this business for about 5 or so years. Your best bet is to buy a good used S14 and then do the work on it yourself or get it done by someone you know will do a good job and will do it to your liking. That car in the ad seems to be overpriced and you dont know what kinda beating it has taken from the current owner.

This is what i am thinking of getting this summer

Funny that s15's weren't sold until 1999 which was about 8 years ago. So I'm not sure how a s14.5 would be cool or even possible 2 years before an s15 was even made. I had mine in 02-03 when the s14.5 wasn't very common.

thanks for the responses people. i would never pay 9k for that car. i was more concerned about the drivetrain build. that site is notorious for low ballers, so sellers usually set their price a few thousand high or maybe even more.

ill keep looking

if anyone knows any clean ones for sale let me know!

240's are great little cars. The stock KA is very picky on oil and very prone to knocking. So make sure if you do ever buy one that it has been maintained very well. I got my 93 for $400. It had 80,000 miles on it and already had a knock due to a bad previous owner. That car that you posted is not worth 9 grand. Do some more research before you buy one, a built car like you posted would proboly give some headache with that many mods.
