Pull the vacuum line off so that its still attached to the intake manifold and with the car running stick it into the can of seafoam and let the motor act like a vacuum (which it really is) and suck it up into the motor

I did it to my legend before I sold it.

In fact, here's the DIY I followed for my legend:

but as far as which vacuum tube to use in the CL, i'm not really sure, but I'm not sure it really matters.

I've seafomed my J32 a few times a let me just say this engine responds pretty damn well to it. I threw out so much smoke that I managed to misfire a little bit while reving it in the 3K-4K range.

Ive used it twice within 10K miles and it always produces just as much smoke maybe a tad less then the first time but seems that those carbon deposits just build up in this engine like no other

just run it thru your pcv valve. it works great and your car will run smoother. I do it every 10k and my car loves it. 145k now and the engine runs flawlessly.

Although never had the chance to try it, a few of the Maxima guys on Maxima.org swear by it.

I don't want to risk my cats. Besides, it might screw up your spark plugs.

If you really want to achieve something similar for less money, try distilled water. It works just as well.

Just change your plugs after running the seafoam. No biggie.
