RX330 and RX350 are near identical with the 350 has the newer bigger V6 with much better and smoother acceleration.

You can also try and find a RX400h which is the hybrid and the quickest/smoothest of the RX's.

Clublexus.com has quite good info on these RX.

I tested RX330 sometime before and the car was pretty lethargic for the spec. IMO the interior material isn't as good as the RX300 (1st gen RX). The RX350 OTOH is pretty quick. Both are versatile and make very good daily drivers.

2nd gen blows away 1st gen RX in interior materials. Just look at the interior door release lever in the 1st gen...plastic.

I second the comment on the 330 feeling somewhat lethargic... My mother tested an '04 and it felt severely underpowered.

I'd look for at least an '05 MDX. Anything prior to that had transmission issues that you should be aware of.

my mom has a 2004 RX330... has been trouble free. My dad has a 2002 MDX and it has gone through two transmissions... and they both agree that Lexus' service is much better than acura's

The RX350 is so nice to drive once you get comfy in it. ( My mom has an 08) Sounds good, Drive's good, and if you dont mind feeling like you're driving on pillows then you'll be A-OKAY>

Both are nice but the 330 gutless when compared to the 2GR powered 350.

My wife owned an '04 RX330 a couple of years ago and she still misses that thing. Yes, the 350 is better with the better V6. But the ride is oh so smooth. As mentioned, check out the '07 newer MDX. The price is very comparable to the RX and the MDX is bigger.
