No but I can tell you it's slower, feels heavier, and doesn't handle as well.

That guy was a fuckin tard. Glad he's gone.

As far as the GS300 goes, i've never driven or raced one.

I raced a GS400 last year. We raced 3 times 0-100 and I got him every time.

I've got intake/headers/toyo's/

he was stock

the GS wasnt made to be a performance car. As an all around car i hear its great, you can make them look pretty nice, but seeing as its so heavy i dont think id even mess with the engine.

yeah, its a great car, very smooth, and has incredible build quality, altho for what it is, maybe a bit over-priced.

aren't they completely redesigning it soon?

I'd hold off to see the new one's b4 gettin a gs3.

my pops got a gs300

i like my cl-s alot more

the gs is too mushy and soft, has no power compared to the cl-s, seats dont compare to the cl-s

i see this car as something an old man would drive, if i got one i would have to change out the whole suspension, turbo the i-6 or get the v8

Trying to think of a replacement for the CL... Have to try the Toyota reliance and I am not a racer at all. I just enjoy the quick punch to speed limits and then hang back.

The GS 300 has the Nav and plush I like. That is why I ask.

GS300 is ok if you want to go for looks. however they do have the 2JZGE engine in them which has lots of parts. Twin turbo kits are available.

GS400 looks exactly the same as the GS300 but it has more power (V8). The STOCK suspension is very soft. I personally didnt like it, so thats why i swapped mine with bilstein shocks and tanabe springs. Car feels much better now.

stock vs stock CLS- will destroy a GS300 . GS400 i think its a drivers race too close to call. Reason i say this is because i raced a G35 (auto) i assume.. from a stoplight and i beat em every time. I even had my 19s on and a full tank of gas. took it up to 120kmh . The 98-00 GS400s have the tiptronic option just like the auto CL-S so we can redline gear 1-2-3. We can also gate shift.

Just like the CLS, a supercharger kit is also available for the GS400 and if you have the cash, a twin turbo kit which costs over $30K USD.

overall CLS and GS300/400 are both great cars with different purposes. Having owned both i think the Lexus is still more refined (SOLID build). I expected it to be since it has a higher price tag

Juice...

just want a nice plushy car that can give me 200K miles with no problems.

I keep sweating the tranny issue since I am on my 2nd one.

I don't think the GS looks too great, it's a pretty dated look in my book. I see your point with the tranny issues and all though, that shit sucks plenty. I can vouch (like many others) for Lexus build quality but that's as far as my personal knowledge goes on that matter.

Tranny issue was the #1 reason why i traded in my CLS. If i had a 6spd i think i would still be driving it now. But yeah u can get 98-00 GS' for quite cheap now. 01+ are still pricey (for me anyways). I highly recommend going for a test drive.

No no no no. Get it right. The GS 400 is the best fucking car on Earth.

GS 300 initially won all it's comparos. As it aged, the competitons got a hand on it but it never was touted as bad or not sporty. The main issue was it was not as fast as the competiton. Most all editors love the interior and features and we know its reliable.

Flaws. 0-60 in 8 seconds. Your wallet will empty as mods are countless. The ride is cushy with the stock 16s. Re-sale value is solid so prices high for an older car.

I would like to know how?? Because another member with a SC'd TLS coudlnt even hang with a GS 400. My friend has one, and we race all the time, and the outcome is that he always wins by many car legnths.. all attributed to the huge torque that car puts out.

When I had a GS I never lost to a CL-S or TL-S. The races were always close until about 100mph. I think Ruf87 has beaten a GS 400 in his TL-S.

Hrmm, that is a bunch of crap; where is that torque advantage. The GS400 in the below video gets the better RT on me but I reel him in quickly:

[URL=http://www.flwse.com/images/steve/Videos/SDR_092902/CLS6_GS400_1.WMVCL-S6 versus GS400[/URL]

A blown TL-S should make around 250 lb/ft at the wheel. That is more than a GS400 with basic bolt-ons. Not to mention the power ouput of the blown TL-S would be higher. Add to that the weight difference...

The GS is a better car overall. But when comparing them purely in acceleration they are not superior.

a couple of simple boltons like a SUPRA 3.76 LSD and/or a PI TC (higher stall torque converter ) and the GS4s will run 14.1 - 13.9 no problem. These mods are like the headers for the CLS as they are the best bang for the buck performance mod.
