Does anyone have experience with this car? I'm looking at a '97 5sp manual with 53k miles on it, good condition, for ~$4500. Do you think it's a good deal?

I drove one. Very comfy, but in the end I didnt take it. Nothing particularly wrong with it. If its in good shape, I'd say get it, especially for the NY winters.

 

i owned a 99 legacy GT....o man brings back memories that was my first car...i thought it was a very nice sporty looking car, not really fast, good in the winter tho, only problem tho is they are notorious for having head gasket problems....and on a boxer four it's really expensive to replace the gasket

with low mileage like that its a damn good deal....my car had 120k and i got 4500 for that!!! you should get it, its sounds like a good deal
