Once again i was driving down the 14 south minding my own business coming onto the 5 south and low an behold a G35 coupe and a 350Z roll up on me on each side. They both start trying to mess with me. So i say ok to myself and drop it into SS and downshift into 3rd. All 3 of us punch it at the same time. Before you know it i'am almost a full car lenth ahead doing about 105mph then shift into 4th and they can't even catch me. I just started laughing and shaking my head. Roll down my windows cause they are blacked out, look at both of them and laugh. So they keep wanting to race and they are getting all pissed so i go at it again. Well of course the same thing happens so they just both back off and didn't even try anymore. What is it with these guys they just seem to under estimate the TL.

if TL-S it can match up with both pretty well, if the 350 and the G35 are automatic

the 350Z numbers are pretty identical with the TL-S if it's automatic, so it was a fair race

and gd to see u beat them~ =)

 

idk 05 g35 has 287 hp a lil more maybe

 

05 G35 auto has 280hp
manual has 298hp

03-04 G35 only has 260hp, but 260 torque

04 350Z has 287hp

it's the sedan that has 260/260
all trim 350Z have 287hp/274torque.

our TL and the G is pretty much in the same class in terms of performance

both are 3.2-3.5L with V6 and hp output are not too far away, so the race is pretty close and so does the stats

test numbers shown they all do in low 6s and just depends on the road and weather condition.

unless it's a V8 class or some mods on the G then it's a different story, but in the same class you always have the 50:50 chance

Driver's race...although more often than not, the 350Z will take both cars. The G35 sedan/coupe manual has reached 13.9X on the 1/4 stock...pretty fast for a luxo sedan/coupe

On the freeway i mopped him up, on the street we raced four times. The first time he said he spun out too much. 2nd time he barely got me by a front end. 3rd we were even. 4th i asked for the go and waxed his ass by a whole car. If you make more power than stock, I could see you even or maybe even pull on them a little, but they run a little more mph at the track so that would show up as them maybe pulling on a stock one from a roll.

with those all those bolt-on mods, the TL is making as much power as the G35c/350z if not a bit more. i don't see what's so ridiculous about his beating those 2 cars in a streetrace on the freeway. i think some of you people are overgloryifying the G35 and 350z.
yes, they have more potential to be faster than the TL-S, but thats besides the point in this scenario. of course, factors such as road conditions, reaction time, driver, and at/mt are just some of many that could have affected the outcome.

I heavily modified my previous cars, except the TL which has only headers, intake, braking system, basic crap.

My last car was a supercharged Maxima 97 SE manual, so I know what cars in manual are capable off. and I hate G35s, and like the Zs, but those cars are quicker than TLs.

You need to take a look at some of the previous quote's. It states that it's a driver's race. Not to talk shit but some of you guys like you for example under estimate the TL-S. Fully modded meaning everything but NOS or charger. Now if you don't have a Type-S then i think you should keep your mouth shut cause even if you had all of my mods and my car was stock, i would still mop you up no matter what. Trust me my friend had a 2000 TL with all the mods i have and the day i brought my car home from ther dealer and we raced, i smoked his ass. So think about it, all those mods on a TL-S, now that pretty damn fast. All i'am saying is that if you like nissan so much why didn't you buy one instead of the TL and my ar is fast for what it is. If i really wanted to race i would go home and get my 11sec all motor crx or my 10sec turboed civic.

bro, picture this: my ex who i was suppose to propose to after a few years of dating left me first, two weeks later my maxima was stolen. I cried over the car and not my ex, that should tell you something.

They found the car two days later, only the fukin frame and a sealed pack of Newport cigs (which i dont smoke). I cant tell you how it felt when all your work and part of your soul just got taken. So i promissed myself no more overmodding (yeah right).
For ppl who think that Im crazy to talk about a car like that, well, I cant make you understand, but some ppl will feel me.

But some times i have to pick up parts and i use her MDX and she takes my car to work and just the thought of someone taking my car, HELL NO.
