DAMN on the good financing deal.

Time for folks to go out and buy a G8 GXP. That is absolutely the best bang for the buck in the entire performance car world.

I got mine during presidents day 0% for 72 mos. $500 payment for a 41K car

Plus, the officials numbers are out- only 1829 ever made. If you can still find a stick- GET IT!

I'll post some pics today. Gotta get a wash first.

Damn, too bad they didn't include the Solstice or Solstice GXP. I'd love to flick one of those around on the weekends for 72 months interest free.

BTW, nice buy Ash... and sweet Z06 Marc!!

Probably... if I didn't live on a peninsula, which only has one road in and out, I would take off the plate. Unfortunately, 7 out of 10 times I drive down the road, there is a cop sitting there. Just not worth it IMO

The '86 T Type before paint.

Current picture at the paint shop.

My dad's '87 T.

Love your car, Ashburner. I'd like to have a G8 or GTO someday.

I should have some pictures later next week. They're done sanding and should start spraying on Monday. My dad's T went 10.80's at the Buick Nationals this past May. Your coworker shouldn't have a problem finding a nice one. I still watch the prices and now is the time to buy.

Your dad has class. If it's a Limited, then he has a pretty rare car. Besides my dad's, I've only seen a few other Limited's with the blackout package.

Check out this clip from Livernois. They also tuned my car after the Corsa and the Roto-fab. I'm pushing 415 at the wheels at this point. It's a blast! Maybe a Maggie is next

Nice Ash! So you shipped your car to them for the tune or they sent you a tune through a hand held tuner?

It's a handheld... Basically, I read the ECM and send it to Livernois and they tune it based on my mods and climate conditions. If I ever add anything new, they are just a short email away. They have dyno-tuned many GXP's and their work is A+!

If I lived in a region that did not snow, I'd love to have a G8 GT......although the wifey thinks I'm more of a BMW 545i/550i type of person.

I like the G8 much more than my GTO. It just feels better built and the transmission is much better IMO. I've never really lived in the snow or ice so I dunno about that but I'd be a bit scarred lol

SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK. Sounds a lot like my V with Corsas. THAT'S what a car with a V8 engine should sound like.

I wish Honda would do something like this.

There's a handheld device from SCT with a tranny tune for the CTS-V as well. Theoretically, it adds about 30-50 whp, but the main benefit is crisper tranny shifts. I'm just gun-shy about mods because GM has ways of telling if you altered the ECU programming, even if you changed it back....and thus voiding your drivetrain warranty.

I don't know why I'm so scared, I modded my RL far more than a minor tranny tune as I did intake/exhaust/suspension/wheels.
