Thanks! I paid $5k.
Thanks! Hope you're enjoying the GT350
Thanks T!! I want springs and shocks after the winter, then probably a bigger rear sway bar and different pads/rotors. Gonna have to drive it a bit to see if there's anything else I'd be interested in changing.
I'm kicking myself in the foot for not taking the twin-tip muffler off the Accord. It would've fit nicely on this car.
Thanks guys! So far no complains about the transmission.
Thanks guys! I think I got lucky.
I mean, if you're interested in a trade we could work something out
Thanks G! The body is impressively rust free, even up in the wheel wells. There is some rust on the exhaust and control arms. Nothing i wouldn't expect given its age though. I'll get some pics today.
Thanks very much guys.

I'm sure with sway bars / suspension it will handle like it's on rails .. I'd imagine in stock form it's a blast to drive.
Again, super happy for you!

Update (of sorts): I'm finally driving it:
Sorry for the potato pics. I want to dig my camera out and take some nice shots of how it looks when I bought it. It was parked for a while, the idea being that I'd sell the Passat before driving this regularly. Passat doesn't seem to want to go away, and I lost patience. So here we are.
It's great so far. I am loving the jump up in tech. Like I said before, it's nothing special compared to new cars today, but to me it is the ish and buttcheeks. It's even got frigging auto wipers!
I need to replace the brakes and I think a motor mount, which is why I was able to get it for a bit of a deal. Then also winter tires pretty soon.
I'm also dealing with some funky electrical problems. Both high beams burnt out at the same time - I think it was recently. They were definitely working fine when I bought the car, but I noticed last weekend there was nothing. Their fuse slots are empty too. Kinda has me confused. Maybe a ground or something?
The coolant reservoir looks like it needs to be moved over to get at the passenger side, so I'll be swapping them this weekend. Will see what happens.
This weekend I also tagged along with my friend to a mini hill climb/mud pit event. So much fun! My first time every doing anything of the sort.
Now I want a Jeep too.

the fuse is gone? so did you put a fuse back in to see if the light works?
Does your 6 come with HID?

I was gonna ask the same thing, but it looks like it's a dedicated high beam bulb.
If fuse was gone, high beams didn't work originally. Retrofit some CBI bubls in your projector and you won't need a high beam!
What a great car...
Honestly, after all the cars I've had and cleaned and made perfect, there's something to having a car that you feel doesn't own you. Does what it is supposed to, getting you to work and to pick up your kid, is reasonably fun, was cheap, gets decent gas mileage...just something very soothing about it.
Odd.
Hope you have a great one, Aman.

^ don't you dare T! I know once I get a nice/fun car it'll be impossible to go back. M3 will come eventually
Yeah I went and bought fuses Nothing, but I only noticed the light bulbs were out afterwards. Gonna put new ones in once I get a hold of my socket set, then see what's what.
