Do this, go to the website and request another license. You may have to say that your address changed or something like that. If they allow you to do it, your golden...

**Disclaimer - This was true at least 5 years ago but I don't know if things have changed**
If you get a ticket from a Texas State Trooper and don't take care of it your warrant status will be broadcast across the State of Texas. If you get a ticket from a local jurisdiction that ticket and warrant will only show up in their system. I got a ticket in Fort Worth about 6 years ago that I never took care of because I don't drive up there often. I just renewed my drivers license last year with no problem.

You can also call around to different DPS offices and ask them to pull your DL to make sure you are available to renew. They are not required to give you this info, but if you call around enough you will find someone that will (may have to call a small country town).

Good luck, and in the future ALWAYS take care of your tickets. 10 hours in jail behind one speeding ticket will stay in your memory for life...

 

here in south carolina, you can just order another drivers license online on the DMV's website..did you try that?
