LOL! I went on their website today and lo & behold, the car is for sale again. LOL! It almost worked. I almost paid them $2k more than I wanted to. What shitheads!!! I just hate that they do this and that the Dealer allows it.

I think they did that to me because I could not meet their price. I believe they do not want to sell me the car at my price.

I may call the Salesman and talk only with him. Tell him I do not want to talk with the Closer at all.

Eggplant, IMO send the salesman an email with your very specific terms, and tell him that if he wants to sell you the car on your terms to call you. Also tell him that if anyone calls offering different terms, you will find another dealership to work with exclusively.

Eff the "closer" bullcrap. Tell that guy his breath stinks and you want to talk to YOUR salesman. Never play their game.

Lord help them if they start drawing four boxes on a piece of paper... Get up and walk out ASAP.

Simple.

You walk in there. Write on a piece of paper the deal you want and you'll buy it today, sign it.

Hand it to your sales guy. Tell him thats the deal..period. He comes back saying yes or no, and if the closer comes out at all you are walking.

And dont be afraid to make good on the statements....its the only way to win.

Selling cars is a game of control, and the salesman is in it to win. Your job is to take control and not give them much room.

Better yet....send the guy an email....no need to waste your time going down to the dealer.

Tell him how much you will pay for it. If he responds by telling you "it's a deal"....print the email...and go down to the dealer and buy your car.

Interweb FTW.
