Guys, I need your opinions. I have an 03 CLS, I got it used from Carmax with 30k and Im at about 70k now. I've put 2 trannys in this pos since I got it. I love my car except for the tranny and it pisses me off that we're going to shafted after 100k. My father gave me his forester that he owed like 6k on and it died, thats how I ended up with the CLS. Needless to say Im upside down on a car I planned on keeping for a long time.

I can afford to get a Z but I think I want to play this smart. I saw the new Rabbit starts at 14k. Im thinking of getting something new/cheap and paying it off, something reliable and will run forever. Id hate to get somethging like a Z and have to abuse it daily with the daily commute. I would rather wait 3-4 years with the beater car and then get something new that can be spoiled.

Can you guys recommend a car to me or tell me what you think about the new rabbit? Thanks!

 

How about a Subaru wrx or legacy? They are inexpensive, reliable, and a blast to drive.
