She's doing much better today. There is still some stiffness but she's getting around better.
It looks like the c class benz isn't rated too well, that might be off the list. I think the gas mileage isn't too good either.
The 328 comes up in my price range, but how reliable are they? I don't hear great things but i fix anything out of warranty on my cars.

If you're looking to buy new or lightly used, how about a 12 or 13 TL? It was one of only a handful of cars to get a 'GOOD' rating in the new IIHS small overlap crash test. The new Accord also ranked highly in this test.

+1 I test-drove an Optima SX-L with turbo last summer and that car was well-appointed and in general had an entertaining driving experience.

The quality of my '04 Santa Fe was not bad...some cheap plastic but not bad however when compared to my '12 Elantra, it's not even in the same millennium! Nice soft-touch upper dashboard, seats still look new after 20,000 miles and not a rattle one. Trying to compare the new Hyundais to an '89 Excel is laughable...that thing was the biggest pile of shit ever made. I'd rather drive a Yugo than an '89 Excel but the only problem is, you can't find either one anymore.

I'm sad to say I was left un-impressed by the new Santa Fe after sitting in one at the auto show. Cheap hard plastic and the dash controls were set deep back and hard to reach while driving.
I liked the Kia Sportage a lot. Slightly smaller, different class I know. I didnt sit in Kia's larger SUV.

New Accord. Get the 4 banger. The mileage and CVT are both very impressive.

I know the hyundais are much better, i just don't know.
The rdx finally has special apr on them, but, it does not come with HID standard. I don't want to put something aftermarket in it. I think the rdx will be off the list since it will cost more than i want to spend.

You gotta love Mrs. Dallison, last night she asked me "you're not thinking about getting another porsche?"
Maybe another boxster and an older accord might do the trick.......................

Then buy her whatever car she wants. . Oh wait, she's getting your car. Sounds like you have a sound plan.

Glad she's OK, that was quite a impact and from a taller SUV.
As for the car, I'd also throw in my recommendation on a 2013 Accord.

We've had 3 in our family & all have been wonderful cars amongst our other BMWs.
