NSX if I had the means. Although I dont' really like the idea of paying so much for an outdated car.... I live in West LA. Bimmers, and M3's included are a dime a dozen. You can't put a price on having people go when you pull up in a car. Wait. yes you can... and it's exactly how much the NSX costs.

BTW. Hella people my age I know drive M3's. Not one NSX seen YET in Santa Monica West L.A yet. I've seen more Lambos, Feraris, and Bentleys (separate) than I have NSX's.

NSX. Its over priced, but I like the exclusivity. I see one every few months versus almost daily for Bentleys, AMGs (65s and 55s), Ms, Ferraris, you get the idea

But like Sleepy said, its over-priced for an outdated car

M3 hands down! With the money left over you can add a few extra mods to it!

As much as I love the NSX ... get the M3. Who can justify the cost of the NSX today? (Unless you can get a Type-R for the same cost)

NSX all the way. The M3 is an excellent car but it's just too damn popular out here. It also doesn't have the looks that turn heads like the NSX.

Couldn't agree more... The NSX turns heads... At least here in Quebec.

the M3 is more a sleeper.

A friend of mine has a M3 and he keeps on trying to race me... I do circles around his M3 all the time... On the other hand, he's gonna be the first customer in Canada to get a M6 next spring... I guess I can brag until next spring... Then he's gonna do circles around me...

cheers

Their is too many M3 but very few NSX. NSX has that exotic car flavor to it and the BMW M3 is much like a daily driver. I would go with NSX no doubt about it!

If the NSX is outdated to you. Wait for a redesign and then get it. The price shouldn't change by much and the redesign should be due pretty soon.

NSX

Fun to drive, far quicker than its 290 hp would suggest (hint: its underrated), decent on gas, reliable as sports cars go.

Uhh-- correct me if I'm wrong but the NSX is in its last year of production.

As for the discussion, I would buy the NSX without a doubt. Even though its style hasnt changed in about 10 years, it is still a stunning piece of machinery.

Not really.. they're about tied. Tires and driving skills will determine the winner.

Both cars do low 13's in the 1/4 mile with ease.

NSX without a second thought. The M3, as many have said, is too popular. The NSX has that exotic look to it that turns heads.

If they are both the same price, NSX. At current prices, M3. The M3 has the better interior but the M3 is more of a "looker."

However, I would take the new Z06 over both.

Well, it is a little overpriced, but I'd probably go with the NSX as well. Speaking of which, did you guys see the little blurb R&T did on the NSX-R GT? It's a modded NSX (with no extra power mind you) for $500,000!

New headlights, new front lip, new rear, new interior upgrades, new wheels, etc. Many changes were made in '04. Not to mention the drivetrain differences that have been made since '91. The basic style and shape has stayed the same, but many things are different.

Oh and I'd take the NSX in a heartbeat. I know a guy who just got one. In the first weekend he had it, 4 random girls at different times asked to go for a ride in it. Too bad he's married and just had his first kid

Actually the changes were made in '02. Some minor styling changes but most importantly: The coefficient of drag dropped from .32 to .30 and all 4 wheels were upgraded to 17 inches.

I would 'take' and NSX over an M3, but with all the high power cars available today, I'd be hard pressed to end up paying for an NSX unless it was the last car to complete a car collection.

Definitely the M3.... But why stop there. For about the same kind of $$ as an NSX, you can get into an E60 M5

While the NSX is a beautiful automobile, IMHO it is WAY overpriced! The NSX is amazing and it's a Honda.... Should be it right there, right? It LOVES to rev and is very comfortable with the tach needle dancing around, but the brute force of the torque from the M3 pushing you back into the seat and the 'useable' space makes the M3 the ultimate package.

And now that the next gen M3 will offer the same V8 from the previous M5 (the M5 gets a new V10!!!) ... How can you beat that?!?

I've driven both the NSX and M3... Back to back as a matter of fact, and I had a bigger smile on my face after getting out from behind of the wheel of the M3.

No flames please....That's just my , and everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I think most people agreed that NSX is overpriced. For 89k Honda should give it at least a 70hp bump to keep it competitive. If Porsche can make 380hp out of their flat-6(GT3 RS) so can Honda.

The M3 resale value is not great either... I was looking to buy a 2 year old M3 for about 50% of the MSRP value...

Meh... most keep them for quite some time. The only exotics that really hold their value well is Ferrari/Lambo.
