Acura NSX Alex Zanardi Edition
#43
These all prove my point
They look like a ricer's wet dreams. The only one I like (and I really like it) is that R34, and the NSX. Even then the sideskirts on both are a little iffy. The front of the RX-7 makes it look like a cheap kit car, and the rear is terrible. The rivets make it look ghetto. If the fenders and bumper are bolt-on there's no excuse to have ugly rivets all over the front end. On the quarter panels, I guess it would be reasonable to say its too much time and money to sand, smooth, epoxy and repaint everything. But they still look over-the-top.... just not classy looking at all. Lamborghinis don't even look like that.
I'm sorry, just my opinion..... but I liked those kits when I was 14. And whe I was 14 I also thought neon underbody lights and big funky wings and mirror tint was cool. One of my favorite cars when I was a kid was the Ab-Flug Supra... but over time I've grown to see it as way too over the top, though I still have respect for it. There's very little, wheels/tires and suspension height aside, that the RX-7, Supra, NSX and R33/R34 need. They look great as is. The rear of the Veilside NSX is the worst offenders ever.
Then again, I like the VIP style, up to a point. Sleek body kits that highlight the car's original lines instead of making totally new ones (and potentially ruining the car's looks in the process) and dumped on air suspension.
