Acura NSX Alex Zanardi Edition
Didn't know that there was such a version. Seems like something between an NSX and a NSX-R?
Rare NSX for sale http://clients.automanager.com/015265/VD.html?VID={21aca73d-7e74-49d2-9634-ad9e49e00e |

^It says invalid vehicle ID.

Link doesnt work.
I'm aware of them though, I know someone who owned a AZ edition. I never got to drive it though  If I recall recorrectly, they're the only NSX's in the US after about 1995 that were still coupes. All the rest were targas. Edit, I think they were basically a US spec NSX Type Zero |

Edit, I think they were basically a US spec NSX Type Zero I think they're only available in red also, and they come with AZ edition-only charcoal-color BBS wheels. Looks sweet! I remember reading about them in Motor Trend or some other mag back in the day when it first came out.... |
Zanardi's are basically NSX-S' here.
I know the owner of #50, he says he will never sell it, and it will be passed down to generations to come in his family, or it will be donated to the Honda museum! Pretty freaking cool!! |
What's the difference between AZ edition and the regular one?
|
^ Shedded weight apparently?
Built in a limited series of 50 cars, the Zanardi edition was basically a lightweight NSX. A lighter rear spoiler, single pane rear glass, BBS wheels and a lighter batterey helped this edition of the NSX shed 150 lbs off the production version. |

This sums up the differences pretty well. I was sorta correct the front spring rates went up 2.03x but only 1.32x for the rear. Not related, but a damn shame how Zanardi's career ended. |

When Honda engineers were testing the NSX prototype to get the suspension tuned at a race track in Japan, Alex Zanardi was also there testing a Honda race car.
The engineers asked Zanardi to take it for a spin and give them feedback. I think that kind of opened the doors to the birth of the Alex Zanardi edition NSX. Zanardi has been a great inspiration in the auto racing world. After he lost both legs in a terrible accident, he got back up on his feet (sorry) and climbed into a BMW 3-series with hand controls in Touring Car Championship racing. Definitely one of my favorite racers. |
one of the suitest cars evar

I went back to their site and found the link again. Not sure what happened, but should work now.

Wow that looks amazing with those wheels. I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
|
Is there a subwoofer in the passenger seat area?! |
Oh. My. God. That car is HOT.
|
I wonder why they don't show the plaque in the photos..
|
Looks badass. I like the wheels. Did they sit that low stock?
|
Ive always said Id never buy a red car.
Id bend the rules for that one. |
Where are the original Zanardi wheels? Those HRE's devalues the car BIG TIME. Zanardi edition needs to kept original.

I'd buy it just because it says Zanardi on it. He was my favorite driver growing up watching the cart series. I have an autographed poster of his somewhere around here. Such a nice fellow when I met him. A true gentlemen for sure.

As someone else mentioned he was doing some Euro touring car racing. He also had done a few laps in a CART Champ car that had been modified for hand controls http://www.popularmechanics.com/auto...36.html?page=1 He's quite a popular driver with both fans and former teams. |

Thanks. |
I think the Veilside NSX looks hideous, as do 99% of all Veilside kits.
