Acura ILX vs BMW 328i?

Would anyone here be interested in an comparison between an ILX Hybrid and a 328i? I have both right now and am fairly bored. I've driven my fair share of cars over the years and think you guys would at least be entertained by it. FYI both cars have less than 2000 miles on them.

Yay or Nay?

If yay, if there are certain things you would like me to point out please post them!

Definitely Whiskers.

I'm just curious as to why you chose these two cars to compare? It seems as if they're complete opposites.

according to the specs, they are about the same size besides the trunk and seem like fairly modern cars that a sucessful younger person would want to jump into as their first luxury car. I have a 328i and ILX as loaner cars for a few days so I figured at least it would be something that's a good comparison. The 3-series is pretty much a benchmark for many cars in the industry and the ILX is acura's newest offering. I wish I had a new TSX or something to compare it with but my dealer had a shiny new ILX with 500 miles waiting for me instead

All I can say right now is that for the price, the ILX has BLOWN me away as far as fit and finish, materials and design compared to the 328i. The 328 I'm driving has an MSRP of somewhere around 43K and doesn't have nav, HID's, etc while the ILX is 37K MSRP and fully loaded! And I mean now I'm at a point in my life where I like 7-series quality, design and aesthetic!

$37K for an ILX is ridiculous.

That's MSRP for the Hybrid that's fully loaded including the whole bodykit + dealer mark up (sticker was in the glove box). According to the MSRP window sticker it's 34,400. I imagine that the invoice is somewhere around 30-32K

ILX has zero interest. Even at 30-32K$.

Make that 328i vs new Accord V6.

^ I agree, I'd be way more interested in a 6MT 2013 Accord.

The numbers on all new bimmers are absorb. $43k for a 328 50+ for a 335.

For how much people like Fords and Germans around here, you think they would be numb to over priced vehicles.

CS, I'm down. Lets here about straight line acceleration (from a stop & from 60 mph), cornering/steering, braking, shifting, tires, interior comfort, interior ease of use, features, mpg, and/or perception from the public.

I do agree that the price for the ILX is absurd. Its making the Acura brand not that great for value. A fully loaded accord would be a much better purchase.

But give us a little breakdown of the 2 to see how they compare.

I'd pick the BMW 9 times out of 10, but would still be interested in hearing an owners point of view on both.

I think it would be good info for the forum as well. I say go for it

I'm guessing this would be an interesting review if we skip the performance part of it.....I don't think we can compare a 110hp hybrid powertrain against a 240hp engine...lol.....If the ILX is the 2.4 6MT model then that's different.
