Angry Acura Hinshaw

me and my wife when to Acura of Hinshaw and we wanting to get a MDX due to new baby will be here end of the year. anyway long story short. they give us the # and give them the # and we walk out cuz no one was agree with the price. and then the next day the saleman call my wife up and blowing steam at her say ** you people should not go to any dealer because you just going to waste other people time** then he hang up.

i got piss so i try to call him up his direct line but he didn't pick up the phone so i call back the main line and ask for his manager told him that this is rediculas. i'm thinking of calling acura customer service and report about that saleman.

sorry for the long post .....still kinda piss at this moment
i have not have any saleman call up customer and ***** at them just because they didn't bought the car from him.

I have a feeling the lines of communication weren't too clear.

I would call Acura customer service and complain. Even if you were at fault they have no business treating a customer like that. Take your business elsewhere.

I agree... Whether the lines of communication were clear or not. There is no reason for anyone, regardless of what you are trying to purchase, to treat you that way.

I second the recommendation to contact Acura Customer Service, and the General Manager of the dealership if possible. But try to be polite yet assertive.

Anyways, I have a feeling this guy probably didn't portray himself as a qualified buyer. Face it, these days you could walk into a dealership looking like a bum and probably not get helped. If your going to make an offer on a new/used car at least make it somewhat reasonable. I'm pretty sure if you made a decent offer the salesman would at least try to work with you on it. And why would a salesman take time out of his day to call your wife and say something harsh? Either there is a part of this story that is missing, or you should just try another dealership.

And i said he sounds stupid, i did not call him stupid.

I didn't say anything about "plenty of amigos, koreans and etc" not getting the best deals. I just think it is the way he portrayed himself.

There's more to this story.

There is defiantly more to the story. But the salesman better have had one hell of a reason to treat a customer that way.

Yea but in all reality the salesman must have been pissed to have done something like that. I'm sure they turn down offers all the time, what made this time so different? Unless this guy calls all of his potential customers and tells them to fuck off after they turn down the dealer's offer.

I bought my 03 CL-S from Hinshaws Acura and had no problem with price negotiation or communications. The salesman i bought mine from was Mark, super great guy. Maybe try talking with him.

I agree that perhaps there are more details to the story or perhaps even poor communication by both parties involved. Regardless, the salesperson doesn't have the right to phone a previous contact to voice his displeasure. Any sales job requires a thick skin at times, and it sounds to me as if this particular salesperson doesn't have anything better to do than to direct his frustration at others. I bet he's not leading the sales board either.

We are planning on trading our 05 sentra. So anyway I tried to call him couple time but he wouldn’t answering the phone so I finally ask for the sales manager and told him what happen, all he told me that this is the first time that he has customer call up and make a complaint about her service.

Some salesmen are assholes. My brother was at a used car dealership looking at cars and this one car salesman practically laughed another customer out of the showroom. Obviously the customer gave a much lower # than what the salesman wanted, but still, you're doing business.

Well I did some study and I found out most of the peeps pay for there MDX at 43K, and I still owe 8K on my sentra, I ask 8K for mine and 43.5K for their MDX. They wanted my sentra for 6K and their MDX for 45K.

Just because you owe 8k on your Sentra you can't expect the dealer to buy it for that much. Do some research on your Sentra figure its' value. How much you owe on your Sentra is not its value..

Most sales people at hinshaws are decent but there are three that i wont name in sales that are just idiots and i don't know how they are still working their.......

And the service department is ok if you know what your talking about i went there for my air bag issue my srs was on after they had changed my heater blower motor..(that went out 5 months later and they didn't want to replace) anyway they told me that they replaced both driver and passenger airbags and checked all the wiring and their was nothing wrong but yet nothing was getting fixed..... i ended up discovering that the passenger air bag was unplugged never changed when i changed my cabin filter....

long story short to me i think hinshaw of fife for me is horribal

Trying to give an acura dealer a bad name because you didn't get the deal you wanted is pretty pathetic. These types of threads are on every board, and it is really annoying to read them when most of the time the dealer isn't to blame. This story also follows a pattern of people trying to trade in cars worth far less than the one they want. Sticker shock sets in, and then the blame game starts when the buyer comes to his/her senses.

i didnt say they are a bad dealers but hinshaw of fife is a pathetic excuse for a dealership. acura of renton, bellevue, seattle where all amazing in service and friendliness.

as for the thread started i would of started of by doing my homework on the trade in as far as going to several dealers maybe couple nissan and couple acura dealerships. To see what price is being offered and even kbb. As for the sales guy who knows maybe you just happend to be the lucky 100th guy to offer a car for trade and asking more then its worth and you got the shit end of the stick service.......

Like I mention before, I’m not trying to give Acura a bad name or anything. I’m just piss off because the sales guy has no right to blow steam at us when that was no deal on the sale. Let me ask you guy a question. When you walk into the dealer, do you have to walk out the dealer with a purchase??

Buy and sell is all about barging. But if the price is not right and you got mad and yelling at your customer just because you couldn’t make the sale. That would be very unprofessional. And that’s all I’m trying to say and make.

Fair enough. Yes, I agree, it would be very unprofessional if the salesman was rude over the phone. I think your first post was a little confusing, and therefore, I thought you were making out to be something it wasn't. Good luck in your search for a new Acura.

Hinshaws Acura is not a bad dealer. Don't let one persons story (which i think there is more to) give you a bad impression of them. They did a complete valve job on my car ($4k) when i was over the warranty by 3k miles without charging me a cent.

I have one of the salesmen keeping me posted; he will give me a call when the car I want is here (Acura of Lynwood). My sister in-law just brought the 07 RDX from them also.

Don't deal with salesmen.
Buy the car over the internet. ie email their internet/fleet sales department and negotiate via email. Have multiple dealers fight it out over your price.

Only fools and suckers deal with salesmen in this day and age.

Hinshaw's Acura has always provided me and my family with excellent service. The salesman that we worked with, Bill, was very conscientious and helpful. The service dept. even found a way to cover a transmission replacement on my CL when it was just out of warranty.
