Any chance Acura will create a competitor to the rumored Tesla 3 in 2017/2018?

 

highly doubt it. They can't even figure out the NSX which has been in the making for ages

 

Look for Honda to go electric first.

 

Acura needs to figure out cars (i.e. not SUVs) first.

I am leasing it for 3 years

Maybe something will be out then

I used to drive hybrids but I think a car has to be either gas or electric

Fuel cell sedan powered by hydrogen (maybe)

But likely the FCX will be Honda only for the foreseeable future.

 

I have zero confidence this will happen after being part of the RLX release debacle. Honda will get a full electric first. Acura is just beginning the process of righting itself and it will be years before they can concentrate on such a niche car as an electric......that is, if Acura survives as a separate entity.

 

They have an electric car. It's parked right next to the NSX at every dealership.

 

You never know what they are working on in research and development.
