Either way you slice it, both cars are 8 second cars, and both will be a handful to maintain and drive regularly. The Camaro might be a little more street friendly than a large turboed supra.

I would really like to know some detailed information about both cars. I am 99.99 percent sure the Supra is on C16 and probably the Camaro. I've seen some wicked pump gas BB's, so you never know.

Since it's famous in the Supra community I'm quite familiar with that Supra and I have no doubt whatsoever that it's running on at least C16, more likely VP Import, or at least something equal. I have a soft spot in my heart ...errrr I mean turbo for some Powermist fuels, too. Keep in mind that there is no way in hell you can make over 1000hp ...or even substantially less... with a 3 liter motor like the 2JZGTE without HIGH BOOST which MUST have high octane or you blow the motor ...hell, even if you stroke it to 3.4L like I think this one has you need racegas.

I bet that Camaro was also running C16'ish type fuel. But as you alude to above, there are some damn nice big block crate motors, even from GMPP not to mention custom built motors, that can push a Camaro into the 8's on normal pump gas ....I'm thinking like 93 octane and some of the built big block motors can crank out over 700 on pump.

A good friend of mine has twin mild 572 BB's in his boat making 750 crank hp each. The engines are tuned for driveabilty and longevity. Both run on pump gas. That's running thru 750 Holleys too. If he was to play with the carb and do some other minor stuff, the engine is capable of a ton more power. The same engines used to be tuned a lot more aggressively(plus more agressive parts) and made 1000 hp.

Sounds like an awesome boat ...I'm sure it's a quiet cruise on the water

I was thinking of an exception to my post above about high boost needing high octane, and the exception is if you spray meth/water to cool the intake charge. Then you can run high boost on pump. Which is why that's my next mod ..... alkycontrol.com here I come.
