eh, car has some miles on it, 01's can be picked up for mid to high teens these days. Figure all your mods are worth 1/4th of what you paid when you sell the car (if that) seems about right. Esp. considering cars like that can be hard to sell sometimes.

don't get me wrong it's a sweet car that S2K but I wouldn't want it due to having NOS.
Here's my thing with NOS. anyone can take a car slap a NOS kit on it and pump out an easy extra 100 or 150 HP. For example I got a buddy at school. he has an early 90's 5.0 Mustang 5.0 it pulls 12's he's kind of built the motor(more or less for NOS) But only punched it out .010 over. and doing a 150 shot. I'd respect him more if he went like .040 thousands over or .060 thousand over. ran like 10.5:1 compression and turn that kind of HP without a bottle.
For example with my CRX hatchback(i got it built for autocross)(it's built with a bored D series motor) and only weighs like 2100-2200 lbs) but about once a month I take it out to the county's old airport.(it's shut down since they built the new airport). anyhow this kid had what appeared to be a stock older Neon(like 95-96)he had an exhaust, intake,(just basic bolt ons) I thought i'd have no problem at all with him. we marked off a 1/4 mile had a kid down there timing. anyhow I killed him on right out of the hole. I had a good 3 cars on him at 1/8 of mile. then all the sudden he goes FLYING past me. he beats me. I'm thinking What the hell. because a turbo or supercharger does spool that hard on a Neon(well except the SRT-4s) So i ask the kid to pop his hood and trunk. the dude had a NOS bottle in it with a 75 shot.
to me NOS is cheater HP. I know then a S/C or Turbos could be classified as "cheater HP" to but it's hard to hide that "whibe" or Blow off valve sound.

WTF? NOS is a company moron. Its nitrous oxide. How is that cheating? Nitrous gives you that extra power bumb when you need it, its not cheating. It is illegal, but still not cheating. Who cares if you lost to a Neon that had nitrous, you lost. Big deal.
