Personally I'm just disappointed that it looks the way it does. Lets rhetorically say that the G37 or R34 body style never existed, but instead the new GT-R looked exactly like either one and was offered with a 6-speed manual, clutch pedal and everything I'd be drooling over it.

And personally I'm not excited about either lap times of the GT-R V-Spec or ZR1 because they aren't official yet. Still, they shouldn't be too off.
I understand looks are subjective, but you really have to see this thing in person to appreciate it.

I think it looks fantastic. Its futuristic, its new, its 21st century. Its not derivative, its very japanese, and it gives the car character. This car IS godzilla, and it sure as hell looks it.

I think a lot of folks should reserve judgement till they see one. I saw one at NAIAS, and I honestly didn't hear one person around the car say they thought it was ugly or hideous. Most were drooling, and scramblnig to grab a poster.

I personally love the way the GT-R looks, and its actually somewhat in the realm of an affordable supercar

I'll take one in red or orange please . I've seen one driving on the street and they look way better in real life.

In 2-3 years from now. We'll all be talking about how brilliant Nissan was to develop and style this car. For some reason it takes a long time to appreciate something that is great in N.America.

Kind of like dead artists.

Indeed. Most of the folks in the fairly large crowd around me at the NEW YORK IAS observing the presentation of the GT-R loved the car. Caveat: That it is an automatic supercar does help its appeal in the NYC area.

Nice pic Z guy. I love it in red but like black MUCH better.

No biggie, as most of the competition will only see the rear.
