7:25 Nürburgring time Nissan GT-R V-Spec
Nissan GT-R V-Spec lap times stun observers
The prototype Nissan GT-R V-Spec, wearing the "Victory Specification" designation reserved for the ultra high-performance Nissan GT-R, has been caught lapping the famed Nürburgring at an incredible, if not simply unbelievable, 7:25 per lap. This, according to bystanders trackside. (For comparison, Walter Röhrl lapped the Ring in 7:28 while driving a Porsche Carrera GT in 2004.)
In contrast to the standard Nissan GT-R, that made the run around the 'Ring in 7:38, the GT-R V-Spec has a new front splitter, modified rear spoiler, and different wheels. A more extensive use of carbon fiber has reportedly reduced the weight by upwards of 330 pounds. Of course, Nissan engineers also tweaked the twin-turbo powerplant for another 70 horses...

Anyone that honestly thinks this car is ugly can go fuck themselves.
And the car still isnt good looking. Get over it. Some dont find the car attractive.

Hats off to them. The car, plain and simple, whoops the shit out of machinery that costs 3-4X as much. Not to mention, we're talking about machinery from manufacturers who plain and simple boast to no end about the kind of "race" tech their cars have - i.e. Ferrari, Porsche
At least Lambo makes no pretentions about its cars' racing abilities - you buy one to be flamboyant and they know it.

Back to the problems that they encountered. The car was too low. The clutch was malfunctioning. It was raining for the first day (again they only had 2 days at the track). The next day, they only had 1 hr of time to set a record. On the next day, it rained. But they ran the car anyways, they did 2 warm up laps, then a full lap. And one of the laps, they set the record of 7:27.82, which is 0.2s faster than Carrera GT. Later, they checked the tire pressure, and ran again. At the middle of the track, the Zonda was already 4 seconds faster than the previous time (7:27.82), unfortunately, the car had some problems again, the fuel line was leaking. According to Marc, it wouldn't be a problem to get 7:20 in that run. After the repair, it was already too late, so there was no time to run again.
Sorry for this long post, but I feel that it's not very fair to compared to the Zonda since it only had 2 days for testing, it encountered many problems which wasted a lot of time, and the wet condition of the track.
