I've driven this car! Yes, it is pretty amazing, but don't get me started on our Legend vs. SC400 constant competition...
|
Let me recap for you "4cruizn"
-cupholder - +20hp -additional cupholder -tilting moonroof -electroluminescent guages -more than six speakers -an automatic transmission that does not simulate a visit to the chiropractor -padded armrest -dual exhaust -damn... anything else! |

Looks like this thread got bumped up!
Mileage still ticking along. 476,100 on it now.

a pure credit mate to ya here is me with my 250k tsx thinking i am the dogs on original everything clutch etc, 500k my god these hondas are unreal one of the best if not the very best out there, lexus or acura/honda all the way.
|
Pretty fucking awesome
|
Here's hoping the clutch makes it to the big 500!
|
Wow this is truly amazing! I don't know much about Legends, but I will start looking into them now. I am going to be retiring the DD and winter duties of my 06 Accord V6 so I can prolong and preserve the car as much as I can...
And I will be looking for a "new" DD in a few months... I have been kind of set on finding a CB7 (90-93 Accord) in good condition to use as a DD/winter car, but seeing your Legend is going to open up the search to Legends as well. Good luck with your journey |
update on the miles bro....how many miles are you at now ???

I wonder if someone has retrofitted the UA3 fan control onto the Legend, seems to reduce them. |
Beautiful car, I would love to own one of those old legends. Also thats insane, so many miles yet the car still looks new! great job on keeping it up.
|
Absolutely beautiful Legend! I am on the same quest with my 06 TL although I only have 38k right now. I had a friend that had a white 94 coupe back in the day that I always lusted over. Since I want my TL to last as long as your Legend, can you tell me what type of oil and filter combo that you have been using?
|
I can't believe how clean that thing is. It would have been rotted a long time ago here :(
|
Thanks everyone for the motivation and support.

Can't wait to see it go over 500K. |

I'm at just under 487,000. https://i171.photobucket.com/albums/...e/finalodo.jpg I just got back tonight from a 5,600 mile drive coast to coast. Over the past 10 days, I drove the Legend from San Diego to New Jersey, and back to Arizona. I posted each night in my blog if anyone would like to follow the adventure. This car trucked through 17 states without skipping a beat. http://drivetofive.wordpress.com  http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...e/IMG_8429.jpg |
Great read! Thats a lot of driving though for one week! :thud:
|
Awesome!
Hope the drive through PA was scenic! I know there are a few nice roads away from urban PA cities. |
wow...hope I can get at least half of what this legend has accomplished on my 3G TL.

Every time I see a Legend Coupe I think of this thread and your car approaching 500,000 miles.
. |
HOLY SHIT....5800 miles....
next time you in kansas city, holler at me....drinks on me :D :woot: |
Do you ever go to the Pavillions show on Saturday nights? I would love to see the Legend in person!
<-- Lives in Old Town Snotsdale |
Do you take these little drives just for fun or some other purpose?
|
WOW! Amazing Accomplishment, and Amazing Car!
I've always loved this bodystyle. My 3 favorite Acura's are these Second Gen Legend Coupes, the 2nd Gen TL's and the Original Legend Coupe, in that order. I can only home my Accord Coupe is still going and looks as good at this kinda mileage. |
Honestly, if the front bumper was cleaned up, you could probably trick me into thinking its some rare legend that was never driven. The thing is freakishly good looking for its mileage and age. Good luck with your goal.
See I was 9 when this car was brand new, so unfortunately I don't know much about the legend beyond the fact that it is one of the acura holy grails of a car and that I know one when I see one. Again, good luck. |

Just for fun. My work commute is only 10 miles each way. This trip was to attend the 7th Annual National Acura Legend Meet held in Morristown, New Jersey. My car is the only one in the nation to have been to all 7 NALM's since 2005: Dallas, Tulsa, Vegas, Chattanooga, Branson, Salt Lake City, Morristown.

wow this thing is meticulous. my altimas got 192k. all were put on by me, my dad and my mom. trying to go 200k and beyond
just wish my car was as spotless as your legend |
Tyson, you know I am watching for that 500k mark. After your trip to NALM I knew you be getting close.

As if your girl doesn't hear it all the time, she's absolutely gorgeous. She's in excellent condition, kudos for keeping her so clean.
I love those 94-95 Legend coupes! Hopefully I will be able to pick one up sometime next year. |
Fawking SWEET!!! You are a Legend among Legends my friend. Coming from a true fan boi, I am Jealous. I wish Big Cat were with me today so I could have a similar story. Too bad our story had a few too many potholes.
|
I rolled over 490,000 yesterday coming back into Phoenix from Utah.
Keep an eye on the blog for updates in the coming 10,000 miles! http://drivetofive.wordpress.com https://i171.photobucket.com/albums/...hugie/490k.jpg
