37k TL-S

South Coast Acura has a TL-S w/ Nav for a bit
over 37k in their showroom. Nothing special
about this car except that the price includes
a factory spoiler, chrome rims, factory body
kit and a MSRP of ~35k.

I thought these cars were around the same
price as the CLs and explained this to a
sales man. The now angered sales man told
me this was completely normal and a "good
deal" at that. What's the real deal here?
Is there something I'm missing?

I generally refrain from going there anyhow
due to previous encounters with their overly
persistant and rude sales staff. One person
tried to sell me a CL that was "the shits"
and had "the bomb" sterio.

For some reason, allot of the acura sales guys are jerks. In their minds, they don't have to make deals because the cars sell themselves. I went from one dealer to another and saved $2900.00. There was some bluffing involved off course. As for the price difference on the TLS vs. CLS, I believe the TLS is about $1500 more.

Smurfboy,
Mind telling me what dealership ?
That price is high ! Tell them to locate another one without all that jazz and lower those ridiculous mark-up's !

Smurfboy was writing about South Coast Acura (Costa Mesa CA), which is also my nearest dealer. I went there a year ago when I was shopping for my CL-S. They had one on the floor with $2000 wheels, $100 wheel locks, $200 splashguards, and $2000 markup. Yes, $2000 markup listed on the dealer sticker. I think they do this on new models just in case some sucker walks in with more money than brains.

When I bought my CL-S, the dealer (Scottsdale Acura) said they'd install Comptech springs on it for the bargain price of $999. I had no idea how overpriced that was at the time.

hee hee... No, I didn't have them install the springs. I ordered H&R's for $170 and I'm going to install them myself. I figure that will help compensate for the $700 or $800 I did pay for them for the spoiler.
