3 times with an R32
3 times with an R32
Dusted a R32 VDub three times today. Once I was approaching a light ( he was first car in the left lane ) still rolling in second when the light changed and I took off from 10mph and flew by him. I wasn't really racing just enjoying the 65 degree day here in Chicago. Heck I didn't even realize it was an R32 until he played catch up.
Next light he was stuck behind me and I was first. You could tell he wanted to run, I switched VSA off. So I launched 3/4 at the green, and punched up through the gears till about 65 ( street was a 55 limit ). Spun first, chirped second. He was behind by 3-4 car lengths ( due to starting behind me ) and pulled into the right lane but never gained, probably was slightly receeding.
Third light was side by side. Man, the sound of the R32 is pretty sweet. Sounds german, deeper and more attitude than ours. My launch was weird, kinda let out the clutch a little low on rpm's, started moving and then just lit up the bridgestones, barked into second and chirped into third. He got a very good launch but I just pulled on him all the way up to 70-75 ( then let off ) and he was falling back the whole time. When I barked 2nd I was looking at him, he looked down at the bark ( and slipped sideways a little ), I was smiling. He blew on past after I let up, but it was obvious to me.......
