after using them both for about 2 weeks i gotta say 2g navi sucks!!!!. i mean it shows my house like half a block down even after adjusting it. voice quility sucks screen size sucks the touch screen should be called stab screen since it is not as sensitive as 3g, it dosent let me change my view as far as i wana be always behind my icon. the stupid thing telles me to make a turn 1 mile before i auctley have to and 1 mile is like 20 block in nyc so that dosent help. and alot of other things too. if i buy the newest dvd version for the 2g will all these inner problems be fix other than i have to stab the stupid screen to work.

 

What version do you have? The 3G and 2G both work off the same map database which is constantly being updated. An update might fix your miscellaneous map problems. Sorry - no 3D view on the 2G.

Oh - and the reason your screen is not responding is that you need to clean it. Make sure to clean the darker ring that goes along the outer edge of the screen. From what I understand , the screen has a grid of beams that go across it, and by determining which beams are broken it can figure out where your finger is. You may have noticed that the screen is less accurate or responsive when it's exposed to direct sunlight - the sunlight must affect the beam receptors so it cannot really tell what beams are broken. I find that in direct sunlight I sometimes have to shield the screen from the direct sunlight to get it to work right.
