...2016 stable mate to the RDX
April 22nd is my wifes birthday and I treated her to a brand new 2016 Civic EX.
Was a bit torn between turbo or not...but she wants to keep this baby for a good 10yrs and I was a bit skeptical on turbo longevity and maintenance needs.
I took it for a drive last night and wow, they reallllllly refined this...it is amazing. My wife previously had a 2006 model... after 10yrs, we sold it and it was completely trouble-free.
anyways, looking forward to driving it more.... my RDX has been parked awaiting airbag RECALL parts to be fixed..sigh....so I'm in the JEEP lol.

Burning Brakes
They really improved the Civic, they look big, almost as big as the accord and sometimes I get them confused. Does it feel like a large sedan?

My Gf has a 08 Civic and she is thinking about the new one.
But unlike yours, hers was not a typical Honda experience: Motor mount, shocks, 3rd brake light, paint peeling/fading, bushing cracked, cracked rotors all before hitting 80k miles. Some were before 20k miles.
How does it feel compare to the 06 one you wife had? I believe the 06 and 08 are almost identical.

It's a perfect car for the wife. Not something I'd drive though but as a 2nd car...it's got tons of leg room for rear passengers. The EX gives the right amount of tech ... And we will hang onto this one for 10yrs to see how it fares compared to her 06 civic. Comparison wise-it is a night n day difference. Don't be fooled by the sloping rear roof line....lots of headroom also back there.
