2013 Subaru BRZ Kimchi Edition
What kind of material is it?
The reason I ask is because genuine Alcantara is UV resistant. I had some clone material on my gauge hood and it faded really bad, very quickly.

A local member manufacture this. Pretty cute, huh?

I think he just copied the TRD Griffon one. I heard the purpose of this is to direct the airflow to go over the side mirrors.

JDM baby
But I do want to do something about my fender garnish later. I don't like how it looks. Maybe if I can manage myself to pull that chrome sticker off of it, I might like it. But I don't know how to do it.

And wow.. it rained just a little last night when I was leaving to the car wash meet.
The RS3s are downright dangerous in the rain. The car was sliding everywhere even though I was driving VERY carefully. I had like 5% confidence in me with the car.
Maybe because it was like the first rain in 3 months? Not sure, but yes, be careful when you drive your car in the rain with the ultra high performance summer tires!
Oh btw, when I had my stock wheels with stock tires, it was SUPER FUN to drive around in rain.

Yeah, I heard the PSS is good in the bad weather! That was my favorite tires until all the track guys mentioned me that they are not a good set of track tires. haha
But I know a lot of people love those PSS on FRS/BRZs.

So last Saturday, after watching my school getting manhandled by the rival team, I had decided to go out for a driving. I felt SOOOO deflated that I had to go out and do something. Even my wife was like.. yeah you just go for a drive or something. just drive safely.
Anyway two of my friends and I decided to head up to Malibu and take one of the canyon roads back to 101 and come back.
This guy knew a lot of the canyon roads in that area and led us out to this road called "Latigo".
It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fun. It was my first time out there but it was insane. Super technical. A lot of hairpins and blind corners. Elevation changes. It was everything that any car enthusiasts would enjoy.
I was sandwiched between EVO and a turbocharged Elise. Good thing my Elise friend brought his gf in the car, otherwise he would have been on my ass forever.
But yeah, it was FUN.

By the way, my driver side front tire was flat this morning. I had a warning light on since Thursday but didn't mind it.
No wonder my car was understeering a bit at the canyon when making tight right turns... because this car never really understeered before. It caught me off guard a bit. haha
It's funny though that my VSC helped me tremendously in correcting it. lol It's like "bawp bawp bawp" and back on the line while I was forcing it right. I felt confident even when it was understeering entering the corner. Weird feeling.

Yeah, it was awesome. It feels like the computer knew what I wanted to do for every instances. lol It would have made me mad at the track, but for just canyon fun driving, it's perfect.
I delivered some tofu on that night for sure.

I'm lucky to be in LA. There are so many canyon roads like this within 30 minutes of driving range. haha
I'm trying to purchase a helmet.
This is pretty good for $99 Amazon Prime huh?

Yes! The gas is so cheap too these days... It's just begging to be driven on a road like that. I try to do 1 canyon run with friends per week!
Here's a good video of 86 participating in one of the races.
