Thanks.

His has a fine example of the Gen Coupe, which he obviously has worked hard to get it looking pristine. I just can't take them seriously for some reason. As Brandon24pdx said...too much cheese.

The Ford Mustang 5.0 has my attention now.....well this week anyway.

Also. I'm not going to hunt for it. But I'm pretty sure I remember you saying made about half that number last year.

Gotta love fake ballers.
Yeah I made half of that because I worked for a American car company that went under for 8 months last year.. Saturn..
So I sure hope I can double my pay going from Saturn to Infiniti..
I am sure if I sold dodges I would not be able to break 50k..

So I posted 4000 of my last 5000 posts in the last 6 months?
I maybe had 300 posts in the last 6 months and I will bet on that.. I have owned a Acura the whole 10 years I have been on this forums and 80% of my posts are in the cl board which I have not owned in 6 months..
I am sure you can do a search on how many post I have in the last year..you have nutting better to do!

Sarlacc so I posted 3-4k times in the last 6 months cuz I have no life like you?

You can do a advanced search and put my name and posts in last 6 months and this is what I got....

Showing results 1 to 40 of 206
Search took 1.06 seconds. Search: Posts Made By: StonedCL

206 posts in last 6 months so you where only off like 3800 posts..
It's not that I post a lot you just love reading my posts so you read them 3000 times and in your head every time you read it you think I posted it.. So keep telling yourself that no one has a life and we all spend our free time on a mesagebord of a car that we do not even own to post 11000 times!,

That special edition is ugly as hell. I was wondering why I didn't see this thread until now.... guess my eyes and hands knew better than my curiosity did. It looks like a ricey Veilside kit

Stoned, you didn't post the proper link to the images, that's why it wasn't working for you. I fixed it for you...

Also, nice car, good luck with it....BUT i'm not feeling that kit...a little too much for such a nice car...

the lights dont really change the actual appearance of the car though. without actually telling people, most wouldnt even notice that type of change..

i was just stating that on the outside... its a stock gen coupe with coilovers...

im sure many things are to come from his car after watching his progress on his TL..
but if you wanted your gen to look like his, essentially all you would need is a drop. no real "hard work" thus far.

Sarlacc, you remember that Challenger I was talking about with the quarter scoops and amber lamps*? Well, apparently he got a hood scoop the size of Texas. Made it look like a Snork.

Just curious if anyone on the boards had gotten one recently, that might be the guy.

Stoned, in all seriousness, if you want to talk with your manager to let me drive one for a week or even give me one, I would not be opposed to it. I could do a nice writeup for the board about how it drives, etc. See what he thinks. You can drive it down to Florida!

as opposed to a lot of people I like the look of the G37 coupe....but the sedan looks better of this generation as opposed to the first gen where the coupe was the clear winner.
This limited edition one is FUGLY. It looks ricy. Why kill the clean lines with a tacky body kit.
I think that is why people like the of the Challengers....it looks very agressive and has very clean lines with no tacky add on stuff. That is probably my beef with the Camaro. I little too overdone...and the factory bodykit....forget about it.

So it is heavier, uglier and costs more, sign me up. I would never want one of these cars just because of the annoying engine vibration and vibration that is constant thru the shifter. No 50k sport sedan should have these vibrations, also who would spend 50k on this car there are such better options imo. Car should have stayed at the under 40k range.

2010 Infiniti G37 Anniversary Edition Sedan / Coupe / Convertible - Car News
Infiniti celebrates its 20th with some stylish Gs.
BY STEVE SILER
March 2010

For its 20th Anniversary (gosh, has it really been 20 years?), Infiniti is providing more reasons to fancy its slick 2010 G37 line: special Anniversary Editions. Available as one of four models (sedan, AWD sedan, coupe, and convertible), the limited-edition G comes painted in new-for-2010 Graphite Shadow Metallic and wears aggressive new front fascias with black-painted grilles. Each Anniversary Edition also gets side-sill extensions, with the convertible getting a new rear fascia, too. New wheels wrapped in performance tires round out what’s “special” about these G37s, at least on the outside.

Inside, the seats are rendered in striking Monaco Red, and new trim materials—red-tinted Maple in the coupe and convertible, new “Shodo” aluminum in the sedan—line the cabin. Convertibles also add climate-controlled seats. All Anniversary Editions will include both the Premium and Navigation packages.

And each should be more than a little snappy to drive, with coupe and rear-wheel-drive sedan models being blessed with the Sport package and Infiniti’s four-wheel steering system. Three-hundred and fifty sedans, 200 coupes, and 200 convertibles will be built.

Pricing starts at $44,215 for the rear-drive sedan—the AWD four-door costs $200 more, but doesn’t have four-wheel steering—with the coupe ringing in at $51,415 and the convertible at $55,765. All go on sale in April as 2010 models.

You guys complain that it costs too much BUT if you equip the 335 the same way it costs more and there EVERYWHERE, there will only be 200 of this car.
And according to August 2007 motertrends article "The KING is DEAD"
They all picked the G37S over the 335 coupe.. And it is pretty funny cuz the BMW dies "went into limp mode" after 4 laps around the track cuz the oil was cooking and the G37 kept lapping it!

I'd still rather have the BMW. I just built one fully loaded with the M Sport package for $54675. I opted for the satellite navigation that goes straight to Poland.

that kit in the front looks like shit.

btw, the 2 cars are completely diff classes.

The challenger is obviously in the same class as the mustang and camaro :duh: The g37 is an entry level luxury car.

Both provide different driving experiences. People like stoned are what gives salesmen bad reps. They think their product is the best for everyone. It is a nice product but does not suite everyones needs/wants. While i am sure sarlacc could afford the g37 as easily as his well optioned and factory ordered(not many discounts there) he chose the car that he has lusted over.

Actually, since he is an Infiniti salesman it probably works well for him. No matter what his car is always the best.

Hi welcome to 2010.

335i still wins comparisons compared to the G37s these days.

Reason the G37 does so well is because its priced lower than the 335i. That isnt the case with this "special" edition.

Local dealer just got a couple of those 20th Anniversary Ed cars when I was shopping around. Red interior looks like a brothel.

$50K? I don tink so Lucee!

As an example, I could have also bought a 335ix coupe, all loaded up with nav, heated steering wheel....all the goodies for about $48K. That includes the 4 year maintenance.

Try to sell, or trade that G Ann Ed 3-4 years from now and see who really cares about the extra dough you paid up front for the "special" edition.

Top 10 best resale value cars
Kelley Blue Book predicts how much these vehicles will hold their value. A CNNMoney exclusive.
By Peter Valdes-Dapena, CNNMoney.com staff writer

finiti G37
Base price range:
$34,965 - $36,265
Predicted 5-year retained value: 52 percent*
The Infiniti G37's combination of cutting-edge design, performance and luxury are expected to lead to strong demand in the used market, according to Kelley Blue Book.

Well the g37 is one of the highest resale value cars every year according to MANY diff sources so no matter what G you buy it will still be worth more then your 3 series when u sell it even though you paid more!

There is no car that you can lease with no money down (rolling taxes and fees into the payment) and be under $400 that is better then the TSX.. Value..

you weren't even talking about resale before. You were saying that the g37 would kick the challengers ass.
We are not debating that the g37 is a good car. Now you are searching for things to show why it's a better car than all.

I think it'd be a pretty close race between a Chally R/T and a G37S at the strip. I just don't get why he even brought that up? I mean, I can tell you when I bought my G the last thing on my mind was "I can beat a Challenger to the 1/4 mile". I could have gotten a Challenger or a Camaro but after having driven both I decided I need a more luxurious interior. I also drove an S5 and a 335i but neither car was a financially viable option for me. So the G37 (for the second time) fit the bill for me. Its not the GOD of all cars by any means, but it is a great car which usually finishes just behind the 3-series in comparison tests (and thats not really a bad thing)....

$50k for the anniversary G37 is a lot, but the type of person who buys a "1 of 200" car is probably buying it to keep it and not drive it daily. i think it's aimed at a different type of consumer

Anniversary looks kind of whack and is priced way too high. I don't mind the regular G37s but I really did like the simply styling of the G35s.

I posted it just so people can see the car since there will not be many of them made, but then some people that have a problem with me , they follow my every post and find any reason to talk smack about anything I post. People that have nothing better to do the foloow my posts..

I personally would not pay that much for that car , I would personally go with a G37X sedan with premium and nav package for $41,100 , but i just wanted to post it so people can see it. I have the sedan on showroom floor that I would post , but why when certain people will attack me for posting that?

Thanks for posting the pictures. You probably get to see more of what goes on with infiniti than the rest of us. You do get a little sensitive when other attack the brand, however, and instead of actually being smart and ignoring what bothers you, you start to whine and play the innocent poster. Which ultimately makes you look worse.

Seriously StonedCL you need to keep taking your ritalin. This started out with you showing us the limited edition G.

Most agreed it was ugly and a waste of money and now we're on how the G can beat a Challenger and how the G holds its value.

Look, we all understand your passion for the Infiniti. Hell I'd be a little worried if you bashed what you sold.

Ever hear of the law of diminishing returns? I think we've beaten this thread and the G to death. Time to kick it to the curb and move on.

My original post in this thread does nothing more than state my opinion that the 1st gen G35 is WAY better looking than the 2nd gen.

I stand by that statement. I have made it several other threads prior to this one ever being made.

There is NO way it could be misconstrued as an attack or negative comment on the OP. His insecurities caused him to come out and start "attacking" this time and went on to make any comments after personal. Now, he is trying to look like a victim. And he has been continuing on about it ever since juniorbean said to stop.

I stand by my comments. The 2nd gen G coupe looks like dog shit. The 1st gen is still king.

Reason the G37 does so well is because its priced lower than the 335i. That isnt the case with this "special" edition.

Here is one comparo from 2009 where they picked the G over the 335 AGAIN!

[Written by TTAC commentator FreedMike] Much to the annoyance of the local BMW and Infiniti dealers, I’ve been shopping these two cars. But, hey, it’s MY 40 large, not YOURS. So I’ll be picky if I wanna be). By now, I’m VERY familiar with the two machines. I don’t know why TTAC’s comparison was between the 324-hp G37 and a 328 that gives up about 100 hp. The G37 will eat the 328 for lunch. The real comparison is between the G37 and the 335.

From the outside, both cars look great, with the Infiniti wearing sleeker duds. The BMW has that classic 3-Series proportioning that wears so well over time. Either car makes a strong style statement, so you can chalk this one up to personal preference.

The Bimmer’s interior boasts a slightly higher-quality tactile feel, while the Infiniti’s cabin offers more impressive styling (particularly if you nix the aluminum trim for African rosewood). The Infiniti has an LCD display mounted high on the dashboard that displays the radio, climate controls and (optional) navigation. When equipped with navigation, the BMW’s high-mounted LCD display looks like it’s been lumped on top of the dashboard as an afterthought.

The BMW 335’s lower ride height makes ingress and egress harder. Once inside, both the Infiniti and BMW offer supportive chairs (sports seats optional). The Infiniti G37 rides slightly higher so there is actual foot room in back; if you sit low in the BMW, your back seat passengers will have NO foot room whatsoever.

The 335’s twin turbo motor is an absolute gem: eager off the line, strong throughout the power band and wonderful to listen to at any speed. The G37’s naturally aspirated V-6 is similarly strong, if a bit more throaty and assertive-sounding; think of the G37 as espresso and the 335 as frappé.

Both cars have well-sorted automatic transmissions with a manual shift feature. The G37’s new seven-speed transmission offers more cogs, The sport model’s paddle shifters are finely crafted in magnesium, with a grippy rubber backing. They’re big and easy to reach from the wheel, and operate with a marvelously precise feel. The BMW’s paddle shift system works well, but I found myself using the Infiniti’s paddles more often.

In terms of driving dynamics, the BMW is near perfect, but the Infiniti’s not far off. If you don’t drive on the knife-edge of adhesion, you won’t feel much of a difference. But it’s there.

The 335 is the more refined ride, but not by much. It’s also subjectively quicker. In reality, the two cars are about evenly matched. Both are highly capable back-road maulers, with accurate steering, strong brakes and solid structures. The BMW’s almost telepathic steering gives it an edge over the Infiniti in this category. Anyone who drives at less than nine-tenths won’t notice much of a difference.

The BMW is the better car, but the differences are subjective and very subtle. And the superiority comes at a price.

A loaded G37X with the sport package runs $42 grand. A similarly equipped 335Xi (navigation, leather, top-notch sound system, etc) is $52 grand. You can get a base 335 for the same price as the G37, but it comes with a tinny-sounding sound system with the world’s worst display (it’s cryptic, with a cheap-looking red LCD display that disappears completely if you wear polarized sunglasses).

I can live without navigation, but other equipment choices are harder to justify at a matching price point, such as the manual steering wheel adjuster (as opposed to the Infiniti’s electrically-adjusted steering column, which glides up and out of the way when you get out of the car). The Bimmer’s iPod interface is a $450 option—a standard feature on an $18K Toyota Corolla.

But the hardest cheap-out to justify on the base 335: the drab-looking vinyl seats, which offer neither heating nor lumbar support, and emit a nasty chemical odor to boot. The effect is far more pronounced on cars with tan interiors. Even the charcoal vinyl interior, which does a decent leather imitation, has a nasty smell. How BMW has the chutzpah to charge over $40K for a car with vinyl seats is beyond me.

Still, the 335 offers a sublime driving experience, and the cachet of the roundel. The Infiniti offers a more a more strongly-flavored (some would say less refined) drive. Subjectively, it’s not quite up to the standard of the BMW.

Removing price from the equation, the BMW wins. However, given the price difference between similarly equipped models, the Infiniti triumphs, particularly against the out-muscled 328. That’s doubly true if you value the latest and greatest gizmos: standard in the Infiniti for the same money as a base 3-Series.

Overall, I’d give the nod to the Infiniti G37 over the BMW 335 based on superior value. And unless you’re a die-hard BMW fan, the G37’s a no-brainer over the 328.

After all this I just realized it's a fucking Journey and not a Sport.

JFC ... This thread is as silly as the one about luxury.

I hope Infiniti turns the corner on their latest designs.....their cars are all starting to look like catfish.

Maybe it's just the front end, but they just scream "I look like a fish" to me.
