2006 VW Passat

it looks bland to me.Looks like a big Corrola.
Acura is the car to drive these days if you want attention. What has happened over at Germany? All their cars look sucky.

Nice pics, I like this Passat just not the read end of it. The interior is Audi-ish which is good.

Looks to me like VW hired Bangle or at least stole his swell ideas.

I guess I am in the minority, but I like the looks of that car. Although, I am not a fan of three spoke steering wheels.

Front AND rear parking assistance!

I kinda like it, but do they have to use the taillights that look just like the ones on the new Jetta?

That CEO of VW's agenda was to "UPSCALE" VW...they don't realize that he's killing both brands by doing this.

He doesn’t realize that majority of the population can only afford economy cars. He’s killing his base market by up scaling VW. The previous buyers are going to the Japanese brands now because the Japanese cars makers are sticking to what their good at. And that is making affordable and reliable cars.

HONDA has now surprised FORD as the number 3 car maker in Canada. I think US will be next for them.

Interior is awesome, but this Passat isn't running with Accords and Camrys anymore.

Yea, it looks like the new Passat is aiming for the near-luxury class. I wouldn't be surprised if this new Passat gets close to $40K fully loaded.

VWs are getting so expensive these days and I'm not sure if they're as reliable as Japanese cars.

I kinda like this new Passat. Back end looks a little bland but I could live with it. Interior looks sharp too. Is VW going to build this in Germany or will they move production to Mexico?

That's the new Jetta, you can tell by the squat look vs the new Passat's more elegant silhouette. And it's not the angle/perspective of the shot that's doing it, either. Also, the Passat uses BMW's so-called Hoffmeister kink in the rear window.

My prediction for VW for the next couple of months..

Phateom = Dead

Passat prices will have to go down since everybody is buyin gmore powerful Accords, Camerys; Altima and Maxima's which are less expensive.

Jetta prices will have to go down as well for the same reason as the Passat.

Prices of the SUV's have to go down for the same reasons as above.

VW just cannot match the Japanese brands. They will have to bring prices down since you can get so much more in the Japanesemakes..

VW cant bring prices down, the US dollar is weak, thus making foreign cars more expensive.
