First of all thanks to all, especially the ones with first hand experience, for posting up your comments. I am really thinking of waiting until 2009 for the M50. This weekend I will be doing another test drive with the M45 and have been told by the sales guy that I have permission to really "put the foot to the metal" on the M45, that is.
I believe infinity is really having bad sales, maybe cause of the gas prices, who can really tell. Again thanks to all who took the time to post on my thread. I am very grateful and thankful to be part of acurazine

the FX should do well...the new M is going to be very intriguing.

1. 5 - 4,442
2. E - 2,547
3. M - 1,581
4. STS - 1,436
5. GS - 1,422
6. S80 - 1,270
7. A6 - 847
8. RL - 408
9. S-Type - 402
10. 9-5 - 223
GS and M sales are close. I guess the RL can only wish to have as "bad" sales as the M. I don't see the M50 coming until 2010 MY (on sale fall 2009 most likley) considering they are on a 4 year cycle and it just had a facelift for MY2008.

^^ I think he meant down for the M but I mean its no suprize almost every car is down from all companys.
Well if you are still going used I say forget the GS 430 and look at the GS 350. The engines have almost the same horsepower and torque but the V6 gets MUCH better mileage and on top of it all is cheaper. However if you are looking at GS 460 vs 350 thats different.

Infiniti is actually doing better than BMW, Lexus, Audi, and Acura as far as %DECREASE is concerned. Infiniti is only down 1.8% this year so far.
IIRC, only Mercedes is up this year so far.
The M is in third place in sales, behind MAJOR established players like the 5-Series and E-Class. I'd say that is pretty good considering Infiniti was a nobody 6-years ago.

Well I did take some advice from ACURAZINERS, and researced a whole lot more. For some reason M forums are not that active. could not get answers on reliability factor and than again for some reason there are not to many high milage Ms. I was planning on keeping it for at least 10 years.Gas will probably reach $5.00 by August that does not sway me away from the M45, but the fact that this forum is so active and informative, plus acuras/honda reliability, is making me think twice about getting the M45

I referred to the drivers car, comparing the Lexus to the Infiniti, it is the driver's car of the two. The suspension and chassis are taut and tuned more toward performance then luxury and the GS is tuned towards luxury then performance. Everything is relative, my S2000 doesn't feel like a drivers car after driving an Elise.

.2. How many [current gen] high mileage GS430s do you think are out there? Considering these cars came out at around the same time, do you really think there would be so many more high mileage GS's that it would actually tell you anything?
3. You will be surprised at how many people here actually do NOT CURRENTLY own an Acura. The activity of this forum is testament to the forum members and discussions, not the brand of car they currently own.
