I've always thought of my CLS as a pimped out accord, so I like the CSX

Does Honda offer the Civic in Canada ?? and if they do what's the price difference between the two (civic ex vs. CSX) ??

the civic is indeed available in Canada.. the CSX features a 4yr/80,000km standard warranty... sure it costs a good 5-6k more (loaded with everything)
above the civic but it's well worth it.

The CSX also has the 2.0L 155HP engne vs the Civic's 1.8. Can't get a Civic with leather either.

So how much was this on the road?

You were kidding right? Best selling car in Canada 7 years running.

Civic EX Sedan w/ AT $23,380

CSX AT - $26.700

CSX AT w/Nav - $31,900

Can't get the Civic with Nav in Canada either.

I suspect the CSX is the reason Canada won't be getting the upcoming Civic Si Sedan (speculation)

A 197HP CSX Type S is treading on TSX turf. No way they'll go for it.

In fact I just found out this morning the Accord Sedan V6 isn't offered with the 6MT in Canada. Although I suspect that has more to do with the market than anything else.

I went with the 5spd of course...autos are much too boring.. however, this CSX offers 'paddle shifters' with the AUTO... somewhat replacing the tiptronic style.

here is a 'photoshopped' version of my plans to stick on the 17" RSX-S rims onto my CSX..

(a civic sedan was used as the photoshop guinea pig however the CSX shares the same essential shape)

The dealer installed 17's are pretty nice. How come you didn't opt for those.

Are the headlights the same shape? If the HID can be fitted to the Civic, those CSX's are gonna get their lights jacked and sold on ebay. I wish I worked for Honda Canada parts dept. right now.

No. The CSX has the same headlights as the Japanese Civic. Quite different from the Civic actually.

I actually think the Civic should be the CSX and vice versa (styling wise) since the Civic looks much more like a TL/TSX.

The rear end scared me. I kinda jumped back when I saw it. They shoulda made the tailights smaller.

Dom, stop picking on me

I figured the engine/leather was the big difference on the civic vs. csx in CA, but I just wanted to ask

Didn't know about the warranty difference... I wonder why they don't offer the CSX in the US ??

I like the back of it - it's the rest of the car that looks like a hybrid or something.

The gauges look very cool.

They just introduced that new warranty for 06 I think. My 04 only has 3 year/60K.

The only reason the CSX is around is because Canadians flock to compacts because we're poor (See Civic being #1 selling car in Canada 7 years running)

It wouldn't do nearly as well in the US IMO.

I'm glad you made the comment on the compacts instead of me... I was think about typing that, but I know how you canucks can be overly sensitive sometimes

With a population of 24 million, Being the #1 seller in Canada means that Honda sells like what?, 1000-2000 Civics a year ??

Seriously, I guess that honda/acura having a lot of overlap in the lower end vehicle market isn't always a bad thing. It probably wouldn't work in the US tho', but you thrifty folds up north seem to be the exception...

We have an expression for frugal/thrifty women down here in the Northeast. They are called a "good yankee wife"

Just looks like a new civic with different head light and tails. interior is the same and everything. very dissapointed. Maybe if they put the SI motor in it it would be better and rethought the taillights.

A Civic you say.......

This needs to be discontinued. Stupid Acura for continuing to rebadge economy cars under their premium badge. At least this is only in the Canadian market....
