It looks like I'll be getting a new coupe in June. :blaze: It sucks though that brembos probably will be discontinued on the 6MT coupe. :ghey: I guess I'll have to go with 13" AP racing front big brakes in red. All I have to do is add a K&N air filter and I'm at 300hp.

The 05 6MT sedan also has 298HP. The 5AT sedan goes to 280.
Doesn't say how much extra HP the AT Coupe gets
Damn...Nissan's just going crazy with this horsepower. I can already see the numb-nut kids who's parents will buy them one of these and they wrap it around a tree in a few weeks because they don't know how to handle that much power.

I'm telling you, Nissan is shooting itself in the foot. When the G35 gets redesigned, it's going to be at least expecting 300hp, if not more. And it'll have to upgrade its interior...that's one area where it's obvious that Nissan was cost cutting to keep the G's price so relatively low. It'll have to raise the price if that happens, or continue with cost cutting and face the same criticisms.
AT coupe stays at 280hp. I'm looking forward to the redesigned interior. As to those who don't like the interior, my previous 2 cars were Accords so I didn't have high expectations. The Gcoupe has a much better interior than either of those cars did.
Nissan is always up to the same tricks. Look at the Maxima from 00-05 it seemed almost every year it got a face lift! I hope they don't do the same thing with the G35, IMO when a company does that it cheapens every previous year. I liked the G35 however the interior was the reason I didn't buy it, I am glad they are addressing that issue.

2005 Sedan (3398lbs, 6MT leather) 298HP, Coupe (3435lbs, 6MT leather) 6MT 298HP
2005 Sedan 280HP, Coupe 280HP
Basically it's a drivers race.
This is one way Acura could maybe get more MTs sold - rate the MT TSX at 215HP and have it cost $1000 less than the AT.

I'm guessing you mean G Coupe because getting rid of the G Sedan would be financial suicide for Infiniti.
And I seriously doubt they would kill a hot seller like the G coupe.

If Nissan wants to give Z a chance, I say strip it down and make it a lot cheaper. G35 coupe can stay where it is.
How many lies or useless info must you get from a dealer before realizing they know less that Joe Bloe from the street that reads just one car related forum?
The dealer is all confused. The G35 will be around as is for 2 more model years (05, 06) - and then it will be updated/derived from the already leaked JDM V36 Skyline.
The thing that will come in 2007 (at the $50K+ price) is the Skyline derived GT-R. It's a totally new and seperate car. The only unknown at this point is whether it will be sold as a Nissan or Infiniti.

that sales guy is
Actually, 90% of sales people don't have a clue what they are talking about. When I went in to look at the new RX-8, the stupid sales guy told me that it was pushing 250HP. And I said...um...didn't you read the Mazda press release that said they over-rated the HP????
2005 G35
Saw the specs on the new G35. Quite impressive thus bringing this car ever closer to the Japanese Skyline. Nevertheless, the price has gone up quite significantly - about $2k. You're gonna pay MSRP for a while too.
I'll stick to my '05 TSX for now.
