2005 Acura brochure covers

Today I finally figured out what the brochure covers mean. I've always been baffled by this year's Acura brochures. Usually you'd expect something that depicts great speed, the road, the car itself, or some combination of the three. This year Acura has gone art and deco and came up with brochure covers that made no sense to me at first.

RL

TL

TSX

MDX

RSX

NSX

But now that I have the chance to look at all 6 brochures, it became apparent what the unifying theme is. In each of the pictures, you see a set of objects, be it houses or canoes or rooms. And there is one that sets itself apart from the rest. Unique. This is the message Acura wants to get across. It took me more than half a year to realize, but I think that's pure class.

p.s. full-line

Good catch on the unifying theme. That is very subtle. I think it might be a little too subtle and would go right over the heads of most of the buying public.

It's like the old sesame street deal "Which one of these is not like the others"

Unfortunately for Acura, most of the public is too dumb to even grasp that concept.

I think these covers are better than the Canadian ones.

Ours look like the last cover, the all Acura one. They usually have a picture of a wheel or a super zoomed in piece of an Acura car.

I have the RL brochure for 2004 and for 2005... and I must say the 2005 is far superior in terms of pictures and layout. Its looks more like a work of art than an infomercial.
