2004 TL-When and Where?

Since the 2004 TL is not at the LA or Detroit autoshows, when and where do you think it will make it's debut?

I'm really suprised we don't have *ANY* leaked photos! I hope the changes don't turn out to be a major let down for everyone. I hope it's not just a facelift...

Well, be prepared to be let down. Just to be on the safe side. We all hope to see miraculous things from the '04 TL but I'm going to expect another facelift until I hear otherwise from Acura themselves. That way I won't be disappointed but I could be pleasantly surprised, depending on the outcome.

Thats not something you can control. You know deep down inside you expect a redesign too.

When was the last time Acura put something out that did not disappoint most of us?

I mean really, the official photos of the TSX are bland.

I don't think there is a whole lot of affection for the looks of the RSX from anyone.

I wouldn't hold your breath that the styling of the new TL is going to be anything Earth-shattering by any stretch of the imagination.

I'm expecting nothing...I'm expecting a facelift at most. I want a redesign...but then there are a lot of things in life I want but have no control over. There's a difference between hoping for something and expecting something. Acura has said nothing about a redesign. So I'm not going to expect one. If you expect one and don't get it, then you're going to be dissapointed and angry at Acura as if they owe it to you. Until that redesign actually happens, I'm going to enjoy the exellent car as it is.

Again, you're expecting groundbreaking designs...and are upset that Acura didn't give them to you. I haven't been dissapointed by Acura...because I know what kind of cars and designs they make and expect and appreciate those cars...so don't get dissappointed because they don't make something that you think they should make.

Possibly. But again, you're expecting a redesign as if they owe it to you. Remember, this is a company...they are more interested in profits than what a few people on a forum want. Who said it's economically viable to redesign one of their top selling cars this year?

I'm not trying to stomp on your excitement, I would like a total redesign too. But I'll wait until I hear from Acura before I get excited.

They dont owe it to me..they owe it to themselves, dwindling sales, and teh Lexus ES300/330 next year.

More sales = more profits.

I think so according some of the sales chart posted here. The TL is definitely declining in sales and that the ES300 has shot back way up since their redesign.

It's such a secret that it's almost depressing. They could throw out a few tidbits!
