is there any rumors out there for a type-s of the new TL???

as of now, no. in the future, it's anybody's guess. but considering the 04 makes 10 hp more than the 03 type-s, it's unlikely that acura will squeeze enough hp out of the J32 to make a true "type-s". because that s badge means so much

 

thanks... does anyone know what are the engines in development... like for the next RL for example... will they have a small v-8 that could be used maybe in a tl type-s???

 

Again, sorry to disappoint you. But, Acura/Honda chooses to remain in the V8-less club for the foreseeable future...













...and given enough time on this BBS, you will see how often many members will bitch and whine about that.

 

Only thing that will probably happen is an A-Spec model...but I don't think there is anything different with that engine...just perhaps suspension and a few visual items on the outside and inside.

 

I said this in another post. A sales manager at my local dealer said that Acura is very tight lipped about future cars because they dont want to kill sales of their current line-up. Thats why the current TL was hush hush until only a few months back. He said acura doesnt want to tell anyone because the auto industry is the biggest rumor spreader. He said that even if they were working on one, it would be kept more a secret than the new TL ever was. If people knew a type s was coming, they would sit and wait for the performance version, killing the sales of the "p". So we will not know until we know.
