For what it's worth =)

Definitely a possibility. They would have the TL and RL as RWD, and the RSX and CL as front wheel drive. That would not surprise me if that's the route they go. It's also nice to see a magazine finally get the right timeframe's for both the 6-speed CL and redesigned TL.....

This is evenb more interesting stuff from that link...
G35: Previously known as the XVL concept car, the rwd 2003 G35 will arrive next spring and share platform components with Japan's new Skyline sedan.

The G35 will be powered by Nissan's 3.5-liter V-6, but horsepower will be about 280. A five-speed automatic transmission will be standard, and an awd version with a continuously variable transmission may be offered.

Although the G35 has a longer wheelbase than the I35, the overall length is shorter.

S35: Reports of a sporty Infiniti car refuse to die. A two-door rwd version of the G35 is a strong possibility in the 2004 model year, as Nissan has always made both coupe and sedan versions of the Skyline in Japan. The G34 is a derivative of the Skyline.

Also...
IS 300: The SportCross five-door hatchback is trickling in to dealerships, as is an optional five-speed manual transmission. A supercharged engine from Toyota Racing Development will bow next spring .
and most importantly...
Supra: Toyota's monstrous bank account, success in CART racing and entry into Formula One should be incentive enough to create a supercar successor to the Supra. Reports of a 4.3-liter V-8 shoehorned into a 2+2 coupe to do battle with the Nissan Z and Mazda RX-8 are circulating. If produced, the introduction could coincide with Toyota's entry into Formula One in spring 2003.

The TL and CL share the same platform... It wouldn't be too cost efficient to change around the TL's drivetrain and keep the CL as a FWD..

That would be kinda cool..

how about AWD??

Man.. what about the CL?? How come Acura treats the CL like the bastard child??

But a 3.5L TL would be sweet!!

And check out the 3.8L MDX.. just in time for me to get mines.. hopfully HID will be available for it as well by then..

That's cause the CL IS THE BASTARD child of Acura. Give me body kit and a few of the other amenities offered for the TL and RSX and I'll change my opinion.!

Just imagine the next generation models SUPRA v. SKYLINE v. 350Z v. NSX (NSX is a little reaching though because they are no match compared)

I know that silly... but the article actually says they may move the TL to the RL platform in order to make it RWD......
