2004 GTO for 289 a month
My local dealer is advertising this 48-Month lease deal on the leftover 2004’s.
I don’t know what the fine print says, but that’s a hell of a deal.
Their last offer was an attempt to sell them outright at 28,500

It would be a nice used ride to pick up in 2-3 years for 15-20-grand.

I'm sure they will hype the '05 model as well. And they won't budge off MSRP. Then come October and they've only sold 60% of what they projected and have tons still sitting on the lot they'll go through this cycle again. Only to kill off the model after MY'06.

Think that is a deal?
This guy on another board I belong to just picked up a lease on an 04 GTO for ZERO down and $124/mo.

He got Zero down becasue the down payment of over $2-$3k was covered by his GM card where he had money saved up toward a new vehicle.

Look araound and you'll find some dealers sell 'em for close to $26.5K. I'm hoping the '05's are just as big a flop. A boring looking 400 hp coupe would suit me just fine for that price. Besides, the interior is actually nicer than the one in the CTS-V.

that is frickin nuts!! i am sure the 2005 will pretty much flop as well. I love this car....if the 2005 is available like this at the end of the year, it might be time to switch....damn.

Holy cow I love the guts of that car (engine, fooking huuuuge brakes!) and the interior is nice. But why does it have to look like an overgrown cavalier from the rear? Have to see what kind of aftermarket shit they make to cover it up, and I *might* consider one.

They will probably sell well in the summer since when they are released in the spring they will be hard to come by. But once the weather gets cold people stop thinking about buying sports cars and start thinking SUV. October/November i'd expect to see the price of all the GTO's especially the '04s (since they will have the "slower" powertrain) to drop.
The release of the '05 GTO with a larger motor is going to kill the resale value of the '04's. They should have either introduced it right away with the 6.0L or just offered it as an option in '05, not standard equipment.

I was offered a 24mo/30k mile lease on one for $315/mo after taxes. Not a bad car, but zero trunk space and it'd be replacing my mustang, which is paid off. Nice car, but felt heavy and isnt cheap to insure. Oh well.

Am I the only one who doesnt think the new interior is "Nice"
the design is just OK. Its still reeks of cheap plastic used in pontiac GM. And its still very, i dont know plain....but not in the good way that honda interiors tend to be plain.
Its not a terrible interior. But I dont think its nice either. its meh.
