Good question.
Answer: No V8 cos Honda believes in gas consumption first, big engine second. And the way they can solve that they believe is with a V6 plus an electric engine = V8 power with V6 gas consumption. I dont see anything wrong with that as long as the price is comparable to the competition.

Thus, I am sure that when the new engines arrive, they will be more than adequate. Honda is not playing games when it comes to power. Especially with Acura. We will all find out with the arrival of the new TL and see what the TLS will get.

Actually here some simple math.
When the Accord had 200 HP, the CLS had and still has 260 HP in Type S trim. That is 30% more power.
One could assume that with that thinking the next TLS/CLS will get around 312 HP. That is 30% more than the 240HP that the Accord got in V6 trim. Can you do that from 3.2 liters (in case Acura wanted to keep displacement the same)? Absolutely! Look at BMW.
It's easier done from 3.5 liters though which is my guess of what the next TLS/CLS will get. Watch. It will be the 3.5 liter, 300HP iVtec engine from the Dualnote. They have already revealed their secret to us and we are still wondering.
I guess we will all find out soon.

In terms of Honda engine technology, generating 100hp/liter is just a piece of cake, and has been achieved many years ago. However, putting 300+ hp on the front wheels and maintaining the current level of vehicular handling may not be that easy to achieve. No one will ever want a 300+ hp TL-S/CL-S that will fly only in the straight line, but will slide off the cliffs in the mountain twisties.

FWD cars pulls U in the direction U point it, not RWD cars. When it gets slippery & sliding, FWD cars is better to have, but RWD cars are better true sports cars cause it can put power to the ground better.

In 2001 the CL-S was so far ahead of its competitors in horsepower that other manufacturers, most notably Nissan, really went into a scramble.

Great car for a grandpa. I don't think it will sell though. Anybody know why didn't they call it the J45? Remember Infiniti once had a RWD midsize luxo sedan. There are some fans of the old J, so using that name would possibly squeeze a few extra customers...few (the cars don't have much in common). Plus, there already was an Infiniti M...remember the coupe and convertable from the early 90's?
The M30:
IMO the J30 still looks good today!

Nevermind all that shit, check it:
I didn't know anyone besides Caddy had night vision.
Lexus Link and Night View systems are offered as optional equipment on the 2003 LX 470, as well as a rear seat DVD entertainment system that includes two sets of wireless headphones.
The all-new Night View system uses near-infrared technology to help enhance nighttime driving visibility. The system projects near-infrared beams from two lamps in the lower grille. The near-infrared light reflects from objects ahead back to a Charged Coupled Device (CCD) camera mounted inside at the top of the windshield. A dedicated computer processes the resulting natural-looking images, which are then projected onto the lower section of the windshield in the driver's field of vision, resulting in a picture similar to that on a black and white television.
