nice. personally i like the ac schnitzer parts, but his ride looks clean. tell him not to go for any dinan software upgrades (they're useless), the shark injector is the way to go

Well his intake, exhaust and trottle body isnt just for show. But way overpriced for the gained you get. But i loved the sound of my dinan exhaust.

That car looks basicly stock besides the M3 side mirrors and m3 lip... which is a great touch!

Right, but he asked if it's like an M3.

A 330Ci with bolt ons will not be able to touch an M3.

Dinan is basically a points system where you buy Dinan aftermarket parts for your BMW and when you get enough points (aka when you spend enough money) you get ''blessed'' with a Dinan badge. Since REDLINEN'S brother has Dinan exhaust, throttle body, intake, and whatever else he has, he has a Dinan badge. How many points do you need again, like 12?

That's about the easiest way of explaining it.

On a BMW note, I saw a 530i today (last gen) and right above the "530i" there was an //M badge. Looked horrible and he was a shitty weave-in-and-out driver too

I think it is 10 points. Best thing to do with the Dinan badge is sell it on eBay, worth more to the wannabes than it is on the car, IMHO.

Well as for the points you need 10pts too get the badge. He has the Intake,Throttle body,Exhaust, Front and rear strutbars and the full software upgrade. Let me tell you something the Hp gains might not be crazy but on the highway this thing owns lots of cars. Its no M3 but this thing pulls through all the gears.

I don't understand why so many people gotta hate on people. I mean, there's two goals for people who like to modify. One is to increase performance and the other is to be unique. There's not too many Dinans out there, so that's pretty cool to me. to your bro.

You don't see many Chevettes on the road these days either, there just may be a reason for that.

Because most people don't like that style anymore...there's still some out there though...I don't know what your point was here, please enlighten me.

Youre comparing an 330ci to a chevette nice comparison. You must be a real smart guy and I hope you drive nothing short of a bentley.

Using the same logic you would say Chevette's are cool, that was my point.

Like other's said, Dinan's performance gains are not worth the price of admission, when I see Dinan I don't see cool, I see someone out to impress others.

What does it matter what I drive? I didn't post pictures and start a thread about my vehicles, as where you did.

I know I came across as a dick, its a car forum and if you didn't have people at both ends of the spectrum it would be rather dull. That being said I think your bike is cool

You really are a tool, I've driven race cars over 200mph on race tracks, I am seldom impressed with what a street car is capable of. I've raced, p-cars, GTP's, Indy lights and vintage - I've driven more street cars then you can shake a stick at, I doubt a dinan 3 series will impress me more then a SL65, Ferrari 355 & 360 modena, Lotus Elise to name just a few "fast" car's I've driven. So relax.

Looks too stock to me. If you are going to spend all that money on upgrades would rather have something more to differentiate it from stock cars

I wouldnt throw thow the dinan logo in the car uless it had some wheels or something. Visually it looks like a regualar 330. people prolly think he is a poser. They dont know about the suspension upgrades, intake, exhaust, tune. Other than that, i bet it moves andhandles good too.

I don't have pictures of me driving, I've never actually "raced" just run some hot laps. Though one of my best friends is a fairly accomplished vintage race car driver, he owns LFR Racing - since we are very good friends he has let me drive the cars, I don't even have an SCCA license so I am by no means claiming to be a race car driver. Rather someone who has driven a some insanely fast cars and spent even more time around them.

Here's the Spice, its a 1990 Spice Cosworth 016 my friend Bill is driving in this picture

Here's a picture of his new car, its 1988 Nissan R88c, dyno'ed at over 1200hp with 30psi of boost - this car has a tendency to blow engines so I will not get behind the wheel.

Here's part of the rear suspension/engine

Here's an engine shot at the track

I've driven a 69 Lola, at very high speeds, I've driven the spice and the Indy lights(though they only go 140-150) at high speeds. The P-cars aren't that fast compared, I've also spent some time behind the wheel of a Radical SR3, which again isn't a 200mph car. The same friend who owns the race team also has had a 512TR, F355, Z06 and about 6 different 911's for street cars. I have two local friends who have 360 modena's. This feels like a fucking job interview.

So like I said I highly doubt a dinan tuned non-m3, 3 series would impress me with its superb street performance compared to some of my other "references".

Its a nice car, and probably fun to drive, but by no means something that will make me awe struck.

And who mentioned anything about John Force? Not really into running 1/4 miles.
