2000 GS400 worth $12-13k?

Black with Ivory interior. 120k miles, adult driven, 75% highway miles (guy lives in rockland county, drives to nassau county every day). I have to buy this car to get the customer out of it to get him something else. You think I can get a buyer to take this car? Original payoff is 18k, but i'm buying it much cheaper than that. Wadya think?

The miles are a bit high, but that is a nice fully loaded Lexus. They are quick and sleek. My friend had one, very nice cars. I'd say more around $12K would be reasonable.

120K? Um...no..at least for me. Have no idea what KBB is but that seems like a shitload of miles for $12K.

Let me just say this, EVEN if your paying 12-13K you getting no great deal. There selling between $7K-10K with those miles on it @ auction.

Even though those cars can pack on high miles and still be very reliable, I just can't bring myself to buy a car with that many miles unless it was under $8K or so.

I just got a 99 one with 84K miles for $15,000, and it's been worth every penny. I wouldn't be worried about 120K miles. There are guys on clublexus that have over 200K and even 300K miles with no major problems. I got one with an upgraded suspension and wheels, and for the money, it puts my 540i to shame.

The car also has the Nakamichi Sound and Nav system... I'm going to try and take a look at it this week.

IIRC, you can't get the Nakamichi system with the Nav together. It's either the standard system, Nakamichi system, or the Nav with standard sound system. Same thing with the LS400.

I sold the 540 to a friend. Now he's thinking of selling it and getting a GS not even 2 months later The 540 was even newer and had less miles than the GS, but the quality of the Lexus is MUCH better. It feels like a brand new car compared to the BMW. It would be perfect if it only came in a 6 speed.
