17 years old, drove my mom's 1997 Civic EX coupe.... it was an automatic, and now that I look back upon it that was the most boring car I've ever driven. But it was a nice car mechanically and visually, somewhat, so I shouldn't complain.
18 years old, bought my first car independently, 1995 Integra sedan with clearcoat failure on the hood, roof and trunk. I learned how to drive stick on this thing and its kinda fun, but not much to look at. Was cheap though, and I fixed a couple of things on it, replaced altezzas and fart can with OEMs. Still have it now, gonna move on after a couple more paydays.
My mom promised me the 3.2TL-S once I turn 21, but I drive it on the weekends anyway, with her consent of course.

I've been driving my mom's 2004 TL 6MT since I was 15, working on my permit. Now I'm driving her 2006 TL 6MT. I'm currently saving up some money to buy my own car indepently, hopefully a RX-7.

I prefer the '67-'68 GT fastbacks (see "Bullitt") and the '69-'70 fastbacks (Boss 302 and original Mach 1s), all of which also had better ergonomics than the 71-73 Mustangs (some of us couldn't change radio stations with the shoulder belt on in those non-inertia reel days!).

Yes, you're weird, but have lots of company here.

I'd take that 84 Topaz exactly the way it is, 4 doors, chrome trim around the windows, and exposed bumper styling...
Just something about it that I like, kind of like the Pintos... nothing special about them, but I always stare if I see one on the road (rarely )

First car that I purchased and owned was my '67 XKE Roadster = talk about wishing I still had it! This was in 1972, one owner, mint condition and it had only 33,000 miles on it. It was at the low point of XKE values and cost me all of $2200. I was 22yo and two weeks out of graduating from college, I always said I'd buy one for myself so as soon as I got a job offer I did it. Kept it for about ten years.
ahhhh, the mammaries. Just yesterday my '89 Legend, only 150,000 miles and still running well, bit the dust; the front steering rack is totally gone, not worth the money to fix it.

1988 Accord LX @ 16 years old.
Had to pay $600 for a clutch replacement only 2 days after I had the car. It really wasn't my driving(I had barely touched the car), but it made me so broke that I forced myself to master manual shifting to a point that the clutch always outlasts my cars.

98 3.0CL when I was 16. Had it for 3 years, got it with about 72k miles, held up pretty well and the tranny blew at 172k, so by that time the car was pretty beat up and wasnt worth the $5k to fix it

A 1999 Toyota Corolla VE at age 17. Ugliest car ever the exterior looked blue or purple depending on the light. Interior was an awful design of grey blue and purple. Basic car, with no power locks or power windows. I hated it but had a great time that summer I had it. Then totaled it and got a TL, and the TL has everything I wanted so I'm happy.

I was 'passed down' my dad's '91 Accord EX (red one in pic below) when I was 25 as a graduation present. Until then, I was borrowing that Accord and my mom's '89 Volvo 740 (aka 'the tank').
Two weeks later, I traded it in for a 2002 Acura TL-S. I couldn't describe to you how happy I was when I picked up the TL-S. It was light-years improvement in quietness, power, and creature comforts over the Accord.
However, I still think about that red Accord ... I miss that car.

the first car that i used was my parents 1992 Toyota corolla i think at the age of 17
used that until april of 2002 just before i turned 18 and then used my sisters 2002 accord LX that my dad got for her to use at UCSC but was going to pick it up the coming fall quarter used that until about june and then went back to the 1992 corolla for summer
then i went off to college and was pretty much carless (used the corolla off and on) from september 2002 till september 2004,
in sept 2004 the corollla was going to be sold because we had 5 cars for 4 people so my parents let me use the 1997 2.5 TL at school
after that, the TL was sold in 2006 and this school year im using the 1999 MB ML320
but the 1st car i've personally owned, none
hopefully sometime this year or next ill save up for a S2000
