hey guys first thanks for looking , i have a 94 integra , 2dr , auto , 247k miles , stock from what i can tell. maintenance required light is on , ive been reading and says maybe cause went past 3k miles of an oil change and the car knows.anyway , trans is a little clunky , bangs a little when shifting , i was wondering is there is any trans fluid that i can buy at autozone , o rileys auto parts , or even wall-mart. i need atf that will be safe for this car and mess nothing up , i checked the trans dip stick and is very brownish black , and smells burnt, hopefully if i change everything will be okay. thanks for looking

 

I've read that Gatorade can improve shifting. Only fierce grape though.

you'll mess up the tranny with ANYTHING Else.

 

thats what ive been told but that stuff can be $$$. is there any part number or same oil sold anywhere else?

 

i understand but ive been told to use special motor oil and special brand honda fluid. especially because it has almost 250k on stock motor and trans i assume

 

Guarantee you it's cheaper than a new transmission.... or worse, a new car.

Buy the good stuff and be worry-free...

 

use Honda fluid.

What color is your Integra? Mine was red when I got it and by the time I got rid of it, it was pink from all the sun fading
